Hurm...no offense to victim or anyone, this video seems like acting one.
*

no matter is act or not, but it prove the auto gate weak to against external force no matter how strong/good is the motor, i think even a skinny ppl can slot into house easily if pull the gate with tiny gap...

even the sliding auto gate also cant prevent such intrusion, intruder can simply lift up the auto gate and relocate it easily... i think best would be the auto gate come with lock mechanism to the ground or lock between the gate doors

This video is fake because:
*

1.Plenty of good CCTV nowadays... even the latest videocam also able can shoot in 3D model...

2. most of auto gate doesnt have lock...

3. most of good/high-end CCTV are wall mounted, so far never know that good CCTV with dome size...

4. there have a 2 door merz right in front of robber, for me also will hesitate to choose the bag or car...

5. i think quite common sense, i believe u will try to chase the robbers too...
the lady stepped back as she threated by robber when robber trying to chop her at the gate there...

6. guarded community doesnt means can eliminate robbery or break in case... unless the guards have recorded the visitor information before allowing them to the housing area then different story... i went to one of guarded housing area at Rawang, my father-in-law just wave his hand to the indian guard without blocking and registration at all... doh.gif

please view the video again.... not the autogate not strong... i think is the installation or the product problem.  Do u all notice, there are no lock mechanism at the center(both door when shut)? Ordinary autogate come with a locking devices at the center of both door... that's to prevent ppl to open it by force...
*

as i know, most of auto gate doesnt come with lock mechanism... as usual the center part only come with triangle shape of black rubber thinggy to prevent the auto gate swing till inner part of car porch area...

Aside from the gate in the video not having the locking mechanism, the newer gates are harder to pull and push. In any case auto gates are more of a convenience than a safety feature.

my opposite neighbour which moved in new house about 2 years and used those under mounted arm mechanism...
i even saw his kid about 3-4 years old able to push and pull the auto gate and swing it without sweat... sweat.gif
