I always perform better and concentrate better in a clean environment, but the place i am living has a lot of dust, i dont know where they come from, im not living in front of the main road, yet the dust keeps coming. If i dont clean my room for 3-4 days, already can see the dust deposit and it is difficult to clean it because i will have to take out everything in my room ( all my bags, box ) before i can reach every corner of the room to clean it.

Anyone here experience can teach me how to tackle the dust problem. How to keep my room clean and a place i always want to be in.

bad performance blame it on dust pulak, blame it on ur lack of ability la

nevertheless,u shud try increasing air circulation in ur room, leave ur window open during the day, clean ur room more, try vacuuming it once in a while

EDIT** or clean it everyday like me,cos got maid. rclxms.gif

use wet broom when sweeping
and make sure the rest of the house is not dirty as well
my room is like a highway
everyone just loves to enter for no reason and hang around so they brought dust with their feet
and that is why my room is so dusty @__@

ok i need some explanation here, how is dust related to air circulation?

If air circulation good, means the air move in move out, they will bring away the dust too?

Problem & solution:

1) Problem: Most of the dust in room came from linen particles i.e. clothing, fabric etc.
Solution: Don't put any fabric in room, stay naked in room

2) Problem: You also brought dust from outside into your room
Solution: Place a pan or basin filled with water for you to dip your feet before coming into room

3) Problem: Dust came from outside through window
Solution: Place net or screen filter at windows

Also just buy an air conditioner and clean the filters once a week

House dust appears to come from nowhere. It seems you no more than clean a surface and within hours or even minutes, dust reappears. What is this stuff? Where does it come from?

Approximately 20% of the dust in an average home will consist of pollen, mold spores, insect parts, microscopic urine and fecal particles from pet accidents, dust mites, mite excrement, and fibers from clothing, carpet, paper towels, tissues and toilet paper. When inhaled, these dust particles can trigger allergies and asthma, and cause a long list of ill health affects.

The remaining 80% of house dust is not much better. It is dead skin cells (dander) from humans and pets. Pound for pound, most of this dander comes from humans. Each person in your home will create about 40,000 particles per second. We shed billions of these particles everyday and there is no way to stop it. These dead skin particles become the primary food source for dust mites and mold which in turn further denigrates our indoor air quality.

EDIT** Try cleaning your room a lil' more often Mr. Independent icon_rolleyes.gif

hmm.. dust like someone said earleir on those sources

and i would like to add it comes from your walls, ceiling and floors too

so there really is no way u can 100% keep dust out

there are only ways to reduce it

like air purifier, sucks some dust particles

window screen (those wire mesh that blocks mosquitoes) block mosquitoes and some dust as well

keeping a well circulated ventilation helps reduce dust to settle and brings in more oxygen while removing VOC emissions from all the household objects that you dont even know exist in the air you breathe
