You can set the polling rate to 1000Hz if you want lag free gaming exp. As for battery pack, I do think that the AA batteries are better as if the included rechargeable batteries die then we can simply buy another AA batteries to replace it. Unlike the battery pack such as the one included with the Razer Naga Epic, if something goes wrong then you have to order it from Razer or their official resellers. 

Most of the stuffs I bought it for myself and my friends too. Some of them I have returned it back to the resellers if I'm not satisfied with it

Of course you can set the polling rate to 1000Hz even it is in wireless mode.

As for comparison between this and Mamba, I can't really tell you as I never use Mamba before.

It should not be a problem to use G700 to play fps

Actually, you can treat G700 as wired gaming mouse too by taking out the batteries and plugging it the wire. 

Ahaha, that made me laugh.
Logitech, Roccat, and other game peripheral companies should start paying you commission.

Not 100% sure if there are any major difference. Basically, just boost up your polling rate if you want lag free exp but bear in mind that it will drain your battery life faster

For me, it is exactly the same but perhaps others also can help me to answer you in order to confirm it

I just got myself a G700 after much thoughts... Man.. It feels much better than DA or Ikari Laser to be honest... It just felt right in the hand.. It's build quality is solid and the weight on it is just right for me personally...

For those thinking of getting a wireless gaming mouse, I will definitely recommend the G700. But as always, do go to a shop and have a grab at the mouse first, just in case...

yupe, no shop will open up the mouse as demo unit.... all you got to test is the freaking size from out of the box
if you are near seksyen 13,7 shah alam, subang parade area, you can test mine.

this is my first wireless gaming mouse, before this using rapoo wired, to be honest i feel G700 more smooth whether in wired or wireless,

G700 in wireless i cant feel any difference with wired... but that just me, a newbie in wireless gaming mouse,

i also put the receiver truly in front of the mousepad, you see my setup at HARDWARE QUESTOIN AND ANSWER "show your workstation" topic, i just post it yesterday

hehe yupe on the hub on top of the speaker

that is roccat apuri (search for clearer picture to get the whole meaning of the use) , it main thing is not the USB hub but the mouse bungee, i always have problem of the mouse wire falling of the table and then weighing down my mouse, or the wire just in the way of my mouse movement, with that thing you snape the wire on top of it, and it will make sure the wire will not in your mouse way or disturb you in any reason
UK g700 came with enelope battery when you buy it ( saw it in one of the video in youtube, coincidental the guy is enelope battery freak) , but for some reason malaysia give enetime... so yeah im sure you can charge inside the mouse, will try to charge some other rechargable battery inside it see if it explode 

but still a pain when it comes to charging the battery

buy a bungee and you will never have problem wired or not 

will do a test for the battery life now, will put MAX GAMING in power mode, and set POLLING to 1000,

MAX GAMING= g700 will sleep when it is not being use to conserve battery, max gaming mode will allow stay awake longer and will wake up from sleep faster.

no idea... but to tell ya the truth, i never fell the mouse sleeping before, even after watching anime (20 minit plus without touching the mouse), when i move it, it always moving,

just now test the sleep mode, i left it untouch for quite sometime(40 minit), then i move the mouse, i notice there are split second between the time i move and the time it respond,NOTE: my mouse is in the MAX GAMING mode, if on normal or power saving maybe the time for it to respond increase

so far if you are not gaming straight for like 5-6 hours it can really last long, not sure the real time yet, cause, i full charged it at 6.20pm yesterday , gaming for about 3-5 hours not straight la, average 1 hours then stop, and then just normal surfing, watching anime,go to sleep, but still on the gaming profile, and until today it still not fully finish yet, i noticed the led show 1 battery bar left around 5pm today and using it until now still havent finish yet 

good luck on your mouse, where you bought it from?

TIP:
my first time charge the battery is lil bit hot dont know it just me or all the mouse like that,
and if you want to use wire, make sure your mouse is in ON and not OFF, crazy me got a bit angry at first when i try to use the mouse with wire but cant, but then realize you still need to turn the switch on even on wire, i thought the switch on for wireless
