I guess Digi has reached its intended customer base and is comfortable with their income.

What U mobile is doing now is what Digi did , 10 years ago. Throwing prices to gain customer base.

SIngapore M3 also did the same thing a few years ago to gain market share. It's all strategy.

So maybe this is the reason Digi isn't so generous nowadays due to their firm customer base. ANd most malaysians very afront to porting (hassle), and they prefer to stay with their current service providers.

After MNP introduced in Malaysia, we haven't seen much change in market shares of the existing telcos.

agreed with you [soul2soul]

DiGi's position as number 3 telco is assured, they may loose some customers to other telco but it will not be that significant number in my opinion

i also have compared Um to DiGi 10 years ago, though there is a difference

10 years back, it was more about signing up totally new customers, and DiGi succeeded on that

now almost everyone got (at least one) handphone, so Um has to be aggressive on pricing to make them jump ship from other telcos

DiGi must be careful though not to take long term loyal customer for granted

If DiGi continue on this path. I'm not too sure if we can see to many people swimming back.

Well Digi's noncompetitive prepaid pricing has already lost me as a customer. RM28/month for internet + SMS + talk time is just too good to give up.

for DiGi Prepaid, i find nothing attractive from DiGi since the original Easy plan

only exception is the Super Reload is good for some users

for DiGi Postpaid, the new RM48/RM43 SmartPlan seems good and the right direction by DiGi for once

what we need is a good all-round prepaid plan with affordable data (instead of the current RM3/day or RM15/week)

current prepaid data is too expensive to keep going continuously like the auto-renewal is trying to force users to do

it cost RM60 or RM90 per month, yet the average prepaid user spends ~RM45 per month
