If want to go more futher then go until Aomori , Yamagata Dunno yet either can get room or not. Just thinking of booking hotel using booking.comNah, i think i don't want to go that far. Just want to stay around hakone ; relaxing and have a nice view of Mt. Fuji from Lake Ashi. Thinking it would be a nice spot for a couple. Is there any other places you want to recommend for such thing? |

QUOTE(ThanatosSwiftfire @ Apr 22 2012, 09:36 PM) Hey guys. I'm travelling to Japan end of june, and am thinking to look for a place in Hakone (or nearby) to stay a night. Any good leads? I tried looking online and the prices are wow. I've booked my hotel in hakone using booking.com. If you want cheap one, go for ryokan (japanese style rest-house), don't go for western style hotel. There are still a number of places you can stay with a reasonable price, below 10000 yen for 1 night. For example B&B Pension Hakone, Pension Charlotte or Ryokan Masuya. Hope i help.QUOTE(RegentCid @ Apr 22 2012, 11:37 PM) Because of Golden Weeks ..every one is taking leave plus the Public holiday...make it longer.. ALot of my friend and my staff are start taking on 23 April all the way to May 6. Owh, so it's like that. Quite don't know coz i'm just a university student, studying here. Don't know quite well about the working people. Coz i have to follow my university holiday calendarOne whole year only this 2 week are fully holiday mood. QUOTE(hl86 @ May 14 2012, 11:02 PM) hey guys, I've just been to hakone during the golden week holiday. just a quick question regarding travelling in Hakone. Using the Hakone free pass. I plan to go from togendai to gora to hakone-yumoto, basically the reverse direction. Wandering if the cablecars, trains all have return services? So far all my research says its only one way. thx in advance! Yes you can travel in reverse way....but do caution regarding the working hour. As far as i know, most of the public transport there don't operate long enough, except for bus. Especially the cablecar, it only operates till 5 in the evening |

It was AWESOME!!! But yeah, definitely there were a lot of people.
Quite troublesome when it comes to public trnsport especially when to ride the cable car all the way to togendai. The line was soooo long. But hey....i still got the chance to stop by at owakudani to have a taste at the 黒ちゃん卵 (black egg). & have a great 温泉 (public bath) at hakone-yumoto & at my hotel. At hakone-yumoto, my friend guided me around there since he lived near the area. So, he know where's the best spot for public bath with a reasonable price ; just 600¥ & having dinner at the shop...right after public bath. It feels great! |

QUOTE(nasizwan @ Jun 25 2012, 04:39 PM) Im pretty much settled down now. Currently in the process of learning the language. I can speak a bit now and read a bit of Kanji. Still a lonngggg way to go to master the language and I'm still looking for job You live here in Japan? Where are you? I'm in hadano....kind of searching new friends who live here tooAdded on June 25, 2012, 4:45 pm Try google and look for jobs first. If they are interested and willing to sponsor you a visa then things will be easy for you. Most important thing of all, you need to learn Japanese first. It will boost your chance to get a decent job. I have been here for 6 months already and still no hope in finding one. All the best! |

Just ask which university you're going to enter....from there, can assume you're under which scholar.
MARA usually send to private Uni while JPA to govrnment Uni. I'm under MARA. |

QUOTE(Ultimaweapon @ Sep 4 2012, 08:39 AM) Hey, I can only answer the 1st place as i never been to osaka yet. There's turkey restaurant (if i'm not mistaken) name's siddique restaurant in akihabara.I really need advice on this. I've been looking for halal / vegetarian restaurants or any place to get cooked halal / vegetarian foods around Japan, anyone having any information on this or any Muslims can share your experience? The places my group will be going:- 1. Akihabara 2. Soka-City, Saitama 3. Nearby Shin-Osaka 4. Shinkansen Nozomi, Tokyo-Osaka (Any halal options?) Will the vegetarian food in Japan be suitable for Muslims? Any advice for Muslims on the meals in Japan? Thanks. You don;t have to worry about food in Japan. There're a lot of halal food to eat here especially in turkish restaurant, indian restaurant (most indian restaurant served halal food) or you can even eat in japanese restaurant. Just order other than beef la, it's ok. If curious, you can ask either they put alcohol in it, that's enough. *There are Malaysian restaurant here in Japan. I only know in ikebukuro & tokyo. The restaurant's name is Malay-chan. This post has been edited by beckham_zed: Oct 3 2012, 10:06 PM |

QUOTE(pino88 @ Mar 18 2013, 02:37 PM) I wanted to do a one day trip on that day... big possibility to take the tour bus for Yokoso Japan.. for YEN 9500 Yeah, 9500yen is relatively expensive. however, I went to matta yesterday they said all depends on my luck So if I take the tour bus, but I cant see mt fuji.. I cant see any point going up for 2 hrs.. not offence but its not cheap thou... YEN 9500 per person eh.. Anwyay, other than Fuji-Q Theme Park that has been suggested, i would like to suggest lake kawaguchiko (Kawaguchiko), 1 of the 5 holy lake that surround Mt. Fuji. I can guarantee you'll get a sceneric view from there, plus it's spring season right now. Will be a bunch of sakura & Mt. Fuji as background. You can visit here for Kawaguchiko : Kawaguchiko Travel Guide Hope it helps. |
