For cosplay event outings, you may need to pay and register urself as cosplayer/photographer for a special pass.
Over there, you cant simply snap models/cosers

Anyway, sharing the scenery changes along my journey from Nagoya/Gifu to Takayama

Thanks to e-jump for the tips, as for the Osakan makan culture of "Kuidaore". What would you recommend to try and where to find those osaka specialty?

I have afew in my mind:

Tako-yaki
Okonomi-yaki
Kitsune Udon
Udon-tsuki
Hakozushi
Me-oto Zenzai

I heard their street food are good and affordable.

Not much thing to shop at kyoto...If want to Shopping better take a train to Osaka.

Kyoto ...You can focus on Shijo , Kyoto Station around ....mostly all are selling those traditional stuff.

I'm going to Tokyo this coming April 22th.

A friend of mine said that PS3 is only MYR400 there, is it true?

Another thing is, I am thinking of using credit card most of the time with hope the exchange rate will be cheaper than change money at money changer. Most shops there should able to accept credit card, right? Or is it better to topup alot of money into the suica card compared to bring cash or credit card?

Vandetta, not true. i just came back from Osaka and Kyoto. PS3 is slightly cheaper by RM100 ++. but then for region and warranty, you need to take note.

as for money changer in Osaka/Kyoto, the rates are very very bad. best to change to yen in Malaysia as first option. just my opinion

Impossible. not only for Japan but for practically everywhere you go, visa/mastercard & the bank will screw you on the credit card FX.

Give you one example the other day my colleague bought something about RM5,0000 in MY using SG credit card card, the effective rate he got was about 2.35. Reuters rate is hovering around 2.42-2.43!

Japan Golden Holiday also start at 23 Until May 6. If you plan only in Tokyo then ok...If plan travel cross City such as Tokyo to Kyoto // Osaka....I wish you luck. Nightmare just began.

Judging from your responses looks like it's better to use cash, and exchange it in Malaysia. A bit afraid to carry high amount of cash biggrin.gif

=.=ll Have you do your Homework?

Osaka to Kyoto are like KL to Klang only....Even you take SUbway also can go from Osaka to Kyoto. Have you ever heard Subway will traffic jam? doh.gif doh.gif .

Volume of people taking train will be alot alot because is golden holiday.....alot people will came from Tokyo to Kyoto // Osaka. Just expecting the Subway station will alot people. If miss the 1st train due to overpack....then wait for 2nd train lor. ( PLEASE DO MIND, Japanese people are not like Malaysia KTM...EVen is alot ppl in Station waiting for Train....They still Q up. Not like Malaysia when train come all rush to the Door ) Please Q up and wait your turn into Train. You might miss 1 to 3 Train.

Osaka , Kyote , Kobe all are under one Kansai Lah.

My Prepare for the Worst are those from Kansai going to Tokyo. Regional to another Regional.
