Hello, is this thread still active?
I might be posted to Yokohama for a year for work purposes and could really use some info about the work culture in Japan (from a Malaysian's point of view). |

If my departure from Haneda airport at 11.55pm , what is the best time I should be at the airport?
Last year, before returning home to KL from KIX airport (Osaka), the counter was already closed. I was surprised because I don't think I'm that late. Should I be at the airport by 9pm? |

QUOTE(viNcee @ May 19 2013, 12:19 AM) Hello, is this thread still active? I worked in a software company in Japan 3 years ago. Fortunately, the nature of my work involves my spending the bulk of the day operating all alone and away from both the company and coworkers. Unfortunately, that means I'm very limited in what sort of advice or consolation I can offer you. I'm sure you should know this by now, but nomikai (drinks after work) are good way to bond with co-workers in Japan. I might be posted to Yokohama for a year for work purposes and could really use some info about the work culture in Japan (from a Malaysian's point of view). How you cope with Japanese way of working depends on you as well. I think you'll do great, one of the hardest things to do is first confront a problem, right or wrong, particularly here, you will learn from this experience and it will make you more ready to face the next one that comes up. Good luck! |

Just back from Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo this April. You must stay longer in Osaka as it is the cheapest among this 3 cities. There have a lot of streets selling lots of things. Please refer to my short blog entries for my trip in Osaka. http://liyenztravels.wordpress.com/2013/05...ji-osaka-japan/ http://liyenztravels.wordpress.com/2013/05...ji-osaka-japan/ Enjoy your trip!
