Normally what is the credit limit for both cards( Gold )?

Lets say my salary is 3200 per month

RM 3200 is the salary of my fren, he claimed that he got RM 4k credit limit
for each cards. I earn less 400 than him and during my application
I was told that I would get RM 2k credit limit for each card. I just want to
be sure whether my friend is BSing me or not( he got a long history of doing so )

Both of us are first time applicants with no previous credit cards.
