Guys, just want to ask, the purchase protection by Maybankard 2 Platinum, is applicable to both Visa and AMEX cards right? Meaning if i purchase with a Platinum Visa, i should still be eligible for extended warranty?

If yes, can i use EZY Payment and still be eligible for extended warranty?

Guys, is it possible to use American Express Gold CC MR points during treatsfair?

Every since getting my Maybankard 2, I haven't been using my old AMEX Gold CC. I have quite a number of points in it, but Maybank told me that i cannot transfer it to treatpoints to my new Maybankard 2 . So gotta find something to burn the MR points.

Cash redeem for AMEX MR points is to rebate CC only right.
Unfortunately I do not use the card any more due to want to concentrate on the Maybankard 2.

I've read before someone here mentioned that MR points can be used as TP points, but only during Treatsfair. Is this true?

I asked at Maybankard center at 1U and they said unable to transfer due to AMEX CC points is in MR. MR cannot convert to TP .

And i didnt receive 10k TP too . Is this FOC TP available only if you are invited?

Thanks for your suggestions =D. I know that 0 balance cannot change but i didnt know we can just swipe cheap to get positive balance, and then change all to cash balance.
But i think i'd prefer to keep the points as much as possible by converting to TP, if it is possible.
I will try to call the Maybank CS and enquire .

If you are earning more than RM60k per year, then you actually can apply for the Platinum from first.
If you are, then just request for upgrade by supplementing them with proof. If not, then you cant get Platinum.

10k TP to redeem RM50 GST is equivalent to 5% cash rebate on your spendings

Check the other vouchers that you can redeem
some vouchers are RM100 for 20k TP (5%), some are RM100 for 19k TP (>5%), some are RM100 for 21k TP (<5%)
Depending on your shopping preference and type of voucher, you might want to choose the one that gives you maximum cash rebate %.

This means, if you shop alot on shops that you can get voucher with >5% equivalent cash rebate, keep your TPs, let it accumulate, and exchange for those. If not, then use it to redeem the GST
