QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Jul 23 2011, 12:02 AM) Yes. Petrol cash back is capped at only RM30/month while grocery purchases are capped at RM60/month. For all others, the cash back is unlimited. The major downside of the Citibank Cash Back VISA Platinum is that the cash back earned will only be credited back into your account on the next statement after you've reached at least RM50 of cash back tq for the explanation wanna ask u guys, wud u rather use 26k to redeem a smart tag or use it to change to voucher? realise the points required for smart tag is so expensive as compared to us buying it in cash wat do u all think?

QUOTE(charymsylyn @ Jul 23 2011, 12:41 AM) RRP for ST RM130 + RM10 TnG card, which is the same if you take 10K TP equals RM50. Don't know if you get the TnG card if you exchange points. Personally I wouldn't bother to get one because the ST lanes on LDP is probably slower than TnG lanes on weekday mornings when the cars with ST issues (disrupting traffic flow) are taken into account. NO TnGo card is given, hence, i think is bit pricey. I lazy to wind down the window

QUOTE(spikey2506 @ Aug 2 2011, 10:25 AM) My life now revolves around my card. Prior to a purchase, especially a big one, I'll try to look for an outlet that accept AMEX. I even changed my long term loyalty from Petronas to Shell just because of AMEX. i am doing the same also. I get extraordinarily excited when I notice the shop accepts AMEX

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Aug 2 2011, 12:25 PM) Totally agree with you. It won't be Vincent Tan paying for all the free drinks we got in the past few months. Maybank was the one footing the bills. The joy was cut short but still, thank you Maybank On the other hand, can any of you please confirm once again that the 5% weekend cash rebate for MBB2 AMEX is based on posting date or transaction date ? I'm talking about those transactions made overseas because i am already sure that for those transactions made locally, it is based on the transaction date. I just checked my M2U and i did not get the 5% rebate for the purchases i made on 30 July & 31 July in Bangkok. To add insult to injury, the exchange rate was high for otherseas transaction, it is based on posting date. +2.5% for Amex. If by visa/master only +.5%. for local transacion, it is based on transaction date.

QUOTE(David83 @ Aug 5 2011, 02:05 PM) AMEX doesn't have 3D authentication like Visa or Mastercard. nope for visa/master, MBB now offers OTP security.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Aug 8 2011, 06:19 PM) Not to say she trolled you la. By default now it is AMEX+MC, no more VISA unless request. Not sure if the request will be accepted. yes. I insisted for a visa and now very much regretted of having insisted it.

QUOTE(charymsylyn @ Aug 5 2011, 04:50 PM) When was this changed? From the FAQ, it looks like now have to enter MSOS password and then OTP code, which is an additional step compared to other banks. I believe is from 1 Aug onwards Added on August 10, 2011, 11:44 amQUOTE(fruitie @ Aug 6 2011, 12:04 PM) My GST for VISA has been paid using my 10k TP, called on Tuesday and it was actually reflected on the next day. Anyway, I didn't login into M2U for a couple of days. Good, at least for once I'm happy with their swift action... same here. although it took them 1 week to do so. I have no complaint. hi I jz added a non MBB account in my m2u. It shows Active.
But when i tried to make bill payment, it isnt there for me to choose. Either from Saving or MBB CC only. How ah?
Also, is it that certain bills cant be made by CC, such as assessment etc as i realise for some bill, when i click confirm, the money was automatically deducted from my saving acc
cheers

QUOTE(zenquix @ Aug 26 2011, 06:07 PM) 5x points as that is an equivalent to 2.5%. 1% if they do not accept Amex. i know my concern is 1% wat u get is cash back but 5x is just points

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Aug 26 2011, 06:40 PM) We all look at the big picture. Whether it is point or cash back isn't important. What concern us most is the total return we will get at the end of the day. dats wat i tot also 1 is cash back immediately another 1 is points to be exchanged with products haha

QUOTE(fruitie @ Sep 2 2011, 04:00 PM) Yeah, I will start using PayPal to pay for my stuffs in the future. Can earn points and utilise this opportunity as US is having weak currency at the moment. Yes, I think my phone calls to Maybank CS cost more than that. but amex has quite a high exchange rate compared to visa/master cc so really i reckon using visa/master is stil better than amex what do u all think? Added on September 2, 2011, 7:08 pmQUOTE(alexwsk @ Sep 2 2011, 05:44 PM) now need someone to confirm whether can get more than RM50 for cases like that max is only rm50.
