Yeah bro, i know that i should never ever reveal the image of the real card online. Just curious, when we buy something, the cashier, or waiter will take our card and swipe it rite? Doesn't that will reveal the card no. and all? and they could easily jot down the number and use it online?. Sorry again for the silly question, i am just very-very new to this CC thing.Hehehe...Appreciate your answers guys...

Regards,

If it is really a problem then don't you think no one will use credit card at all in restaurants ? The newspapers will pick it up and BNM will response to this public and serious complaint.

What you think is a problem or what your friends tell you is likely to be a myth. The guys in here range between 1 year to more than 10 years of using credit cards experience and I'm sure 99.5% of them don't have this problem. If you feel un-secure then you may cover the numbers but please be aware that some cashiers are trained to rejects cards which are fishy. They may tolerate covering the CVV but to cover the numbers ??? Try it yourself and let us know of their response. Please don't waste our time asking us to answer your silly questions which you are too afraid to risk it yourself.

Just a precaution, do not reveal the cvc code to anyone, and try not to let your card out of your view when you pass it to the cashier/waiter to avoid the card being cloned.

Some here, including myself, has tried to cover the cvc code using tape but sometime the cashier/waiter's hand itchy will strip it out

has anyone redeem TP while shopping at 1U (i.e. rcubed). I would like to know how it's done.

Also, i saw the advert from outside of 1U that for every RM100 redeemed, RM10 voucher is given promo is back, but a visit to rcubed website has no mention of it. Anyone can confirm?

For RCubed redemption, it's RM1 = 210 TreatsPoints.
They just swiped your MBB CC at the terminal, tell you your total points and how much you want to redeem.

Not sure about the RM10 voucher... i thought the offer has ended ...I could be wrong.

HI All,

Previously i do have a Maybank AMEX gold card. Maybank offer me Maybank 2 Gold card which i requested for a Platinium for upgrading my AMEX gold to platinium. I am thinking of canceling AMEX gold card if they offer Platinium card but now what should i do?

How can i ask them to upgrade the gold card to Platinium card so that i can cancel the AMEX gold card.

Call the CS and request for it. They will review your account and will most likely ask for your latest payslip.

If you feel this particular card product doesn't suit you, then yes. Please cancel it asap.

Alright. So, do you have a car ? Your Maybankard comes with 2 credit cards right ? One AMEX and another one's a MasterCard. Use the AMEX to pay for petrol on the weekend and you'll get at least 7.5% rebate. And do you shop at supermarkets like Carrefour, Tesco, Giant etc ? Always use your AMEX there.

to be frank, it sounds like you are choosing which card to use based on the colour and not the promotions or features...

if this is true, just cancel the cards and take the RM50 GST as a lesson to ask for the colour before you apply the card
