QUOTE(CyberKewl @ Jun 5 2011, 10:11 PM) do you see anything extra in your notification bar below like something about a firmware downloading or anything? if not, perhaps you can try to shutdown and start your transformer again and try check update again. also this depends on your internet connection, if it is slow or intermittent (bad line, keeps trying to reconnect to the server), it may take a while. Bro.... It run a while then shown there is no update available for your device currently |

QUOTE(CyberKewl @ Jun 5 2011, 10:17 PM) ok first thing first, are you on 3.0 or 3.1 actually? Do check in the settings > about tablet > android version. If its 3.0 by right there should be an update unless yours is a different version (perhaps you are using a custom ROM - if you dont know what this is then nevermind, means you're not using a custom ROM). Also let us know your build number for reference to know if it is the WW version, US version, TW version, etc. Model number: transformer tf101Android version: 3.0.1 Gps version: v1.2.4 Wifi version: v5.248.28 Bluetooth version: v6.11 Kernel version: 2.6.36.3-300003-g8038d35 / android@Mercury #1 build number: hri66.ww_epad-8.2.3.9-20110423 Added on June 5, 2011, 10:33 pm QUOTE(shark7 @ Jun 5 2011, 10:19 PM) Same as yours..i cant evn install flash plyer that pops out after everytime i open the browser. Alreadytrry tips on 1st page dint work Bro.... Exactly the same issue I'm facing now....1) not able to update from 3.0.1 to new version (3.1) 2) open browser and prompt to download flash, so follow the instruction but end up at the market shown not found!!!! 1) u go to asus global, find Transformer page, click download, then select ur OS as "Android" 2) download the WW firmware(remember to double confirm it's WW, not TW nor US),it's a zip file, and it's gonne be around 200+ MB if i remember correctly 3) after finish download, extract it out the zip file, u will see a folder "Asus", with some contents inside 4) copy the whole "Asus" folder to your memory card's root 5) take out the memory card 6) put it back in 7) u will see the notification there, it will have a triangle notification saying "System File Detected" 8) tap on it, and it will say "Tap to confirm upgrade" or something similar 9) tap on it, after a few confirmation message, it will start reboot and flashing. 10) have fun this flashing method will keep all your apps and data, so don worry about losing them, also, u can downgrade your firmware using this method as well for unrooting, i think need to adb push the stock blob back to the device, this method as i recall will not work Added on June 6, 2011, 11:18 am Hi all brosssss..... Updated to build number 8.2.3.12-20110511. Then go to system update .... Blue circle spinning spinning and spinning..... End up shown "there is no update available for your device currently" |

Hi All, Something to share on my experince along this few day updating from 3.0.1 to 3.1 - since the day i bought TF (Sunday 5th June) been trying to update by going to the Settings > About Tablet > Check Update where it always prompt me withe "There is no update avail for your device currently" - going through the thread and with the taikor advice, manually update the buid number from from hri66.ww_epad-8.2.3.9-20110423 to hri66.ww_epad-8.2.3.13-20110511, but end result still the same with the blue circle spinning and spinning then prompt up with the same message - even try to factory reset many time still can't get the update - today (Tuesday 7th June), was trying the anycut method but failed so do a factory reset again - suprisingly upon finished the setup wizard, i saw an update at the bottom bar with firmware downloding....... (the download is only taking about 3 mins) - wait til completed and proceed with the update. Finally the update with 3.1 * all the while i'm using Streamyx but today i'm connecting to YES 4g! * and i even can download the Adobe Flash 10.3 This post has been edited by mlthum: Jun 7 2011, 11:34 AM |
