Hey all, I have a problem of connecting the Asus Transformer to my Nokia N8's JoikuSpot hotspot. It worked with my iPad 2, but the Asus Transformer cannot seem to detect the signal. Anyone encounter similar problem? Added on June 30, 2011, 10:39 amArgh. Nevermind. Just found out that Android Honeycomb does not support Ad-Hoc connectivity. Lame. QUOTE(BBXiong @ Jun 30 2011, 10:48 AM) just go root ur device and enable the ad-hoc like mike said, i have ad-hoc enabled with custom rom as well OK let's not consider rooting since I am a newbie at Android. I want to avoid it as much as possible. So, what about tethering via Bluetooth? I can pair the device with a Blackberry bluetooth but not sure how to let the Transformer access Internet. Any tips?

The Transformer is not mine hence the reason I don't plan of rooting. Plus, the owner of the Transformer is not even tech savvy and I seriously doubt he has time to spend rooting.
Anyway, I tried the BlackBerry connect to Transformer via Bluetooth but somehow cannot get the network running. I can see "paired but not connected".
Under Bluetooth setting on the Transformer, I do not see any additional setting under Profiles.

QUOTE(mikeeeee @ Jun 30 2011, 01:05 PM) Then probably it is not compatible with your BB. I tried with my other phone, it have a "internet access" profile under the bluetooth settings Too bad What phone you use to enable Bluetooth tethering?

Did anyone try using Transformer with Digi's Mi-Fi device? Is the Mi-Fi unit able to support Infrastructure mode? Added on June 30, 2011, 4:11 pmQUOTE(mikeeeee @ Jun 30 2011, 03:32 PM) SE-X10 with pdanet if i remember correctly. Can't test it again as I'm not using the X10 anymore SE-X10 is an Android, yes?
