actually i mean the alignment between the tablet and the dock, on the left hand side there is a 1mm gap difference on mine. what i'm trying to say is that lets say you overlap two books together,, on the left hand side it is not aligned 100%, but rather there is a minor gap difference. is everyone else's the same?
*
mine is not aligned too, just discover this few days ago.

personally, sell ipad2. you can fetch a hefty $ for it. my bro-in-law told me that he knows a few guys who are still queuing up at apple stores to buy ipad and then sell it back to others -- making rm500-rm1k in the process.

selling tab7 or Tf101... you end up losing money. resale value, sadly, won't be higher.
*
Since TF is also high in demand and always out of stock, might be able to sell higher 2nd hand value?

hahaha... i seriously doubt it.

ok la... since we got ppl who come here and post where to buy TF since they can't find it anywhere... to these guys... you mind paying more for a second hand TF? if yes, i think we have a few sellers... myself included. smile.gif
*
LOL... why do you wanna sell it? Going for iPad?

Dolphin crash on me occasionally when I am in Android Market or some other random sites.  I don't use the default browser much but when I do, I did not experience any crash.

I started to see this problem only recently, don't know is it beause of my custom rom or not?

Added on June 17, 2011, 7:18 pm I have both my dock and tablet fully charged. I am using the battery status widget recommended in this forum.

This morning before I go to work, I see both statuses are 100% charged. Then I turn off my tablet by answering the "ok" to shutdown. I have both my tablet and keyboard connected properly.

Since both are fully charged and I have shutdown (turned off) my tablet, I am expecting no power is used. When I reach home after work, I found that the widget is showing me, the dock left with 75% power only.

Means once your tablet is connected to the keyboard dock, the dock keep transferring power to the tablet even the tablet is fully charged and not consuming power (turned off). I am worry that both batteries will not last long if I always get them connected / docked.

Anyone tried to test this out before?

i'm also wondering the same thing, but it is strange that you saw both 100%, if both are 100% it should not use any power at all even though it is docked unless your tablet is on. but since your tablet is not on, it doesnt make sense to see a loss of 25% in power unless the battery widget is not refreshing properly and the figure that you saw was not accurate.
*
I think it is quite accurate, when I plug in the charger, the charging indicator at the keyboard showed me amber light. When it showed green, the widget was showing me 98% already. According to the manual, 95% - 100% should be showing green color.

Yeah, I notice that the output from an iPad or Transformer charger is a little bit higher.

im eager to learn this tablet things as my exposure to this segment is very limited. I wanna buy one, but still not deciding what tablet shd i buy. read from few sources that Galaxy tab 10.1 in coming, but not sure the price.

If you guys were to buy a tablet, shd you wait for Galaxy tab or just this this simply awesome TF?

From user experience point of view, I would say ipad is better than TF. Why? Not totally Asus's fault but also google.

Imagine that, I don't have to worry about common apps (such as skype) can't be downloaded from appstore, if it is restricted to region, you can simply get a US account and that's it, you don't have to hack here and there, passing thru this proxy that proxy to get access to the market.

Where the experience of using this tablet, I would say bad... first it comes with the market issue where you can't even download the flash player (ya, this sounds lame) and it keep asking you to download. Application keep crashing, keyboard lagging issue in the default browser. Since we have one default browser, why should I pay for dolphin or some other 3rd party browser? Just because of keyboard lagging? Compare this against safari in apple, no such problem.

There are a lot more issues than the above mentioned but I will just stop here.

Anyway, I am a TF, ipad and iphone user too.

I have that problem as well and it is intermittent. Either the default browser or Dolphin also same. It might due to memory problem?

What is your unit problem bro until need to send back for warranty?
*
The lock at the docking station (the keyboard) is having problem, can't lock my unit properly, with small movement, it will get loose already. Since it is a netbook / portable device, not possible for me to use it like a desktop, put there without moving around, right?

Do u gentlely push the tab into the dock? It may need a little bit more force in order to let it locked, if this still no solved then should send it for warranty.

Already sent and Asus service center already issue me a DOA, just need to wait for the stock to arrive and do the exchange.

the story is, my friend's new TF, suddenly the power button stuck..cannot press. he sent to Asus Service Center. SC ppl said cannot repair coz no spareparts, so he write a memo to Evernew so my friend need to request replacement unit from Evernew. Then Evernew said no stock have to wait one week, called again, they said end of June, called again they said early July.  vmad.gif

In the mean time try to ask help from Asus itself, they said can't do anything coz it is distributor's responsibility. Got one time Evernew received new stock, but they won't give replacement to my friend coz they said my friend's unit is from different distributor. So u can imagine how frustrated he is. ding dong ding dong.. almost 1 month already, then I asked my friend to report online to Consumer Tribunal and cc to Evernew & Asus. Suddenly got ppl from Asus itself call him and will promise he will get his replacement asap. Someone from Consumer Tribunal also replied asking for more details to help the case.

So, u see.. sometimes have to make noise to get all these ppl working the case.. for god sake, my friend just asking for replacement unit so that he can continue enjoying his TF mad.gif

I AM FACING THE EXACT SAME ISSUE HERE!!!!!

I sent my unit to Asus Center @ Imbi Plaza for inspection because of the keyboard locking issue, they admitted that this is their product defect and they issue a form for me to do DOA (one to one exchange). They said they don't keep the stock and I need to deal with the shop (seller) to get it exchanged. I have reported this issue ONE month ago and due to stock availability, I wait until now still got nothing.

I have been calling the seller and Asus Center, both of them just ding dong me between each other. I am like working with government office now. I don't know how much time and money have been wasted for calling and waiting and at the end they still can't promise me when will the stock arrive and let me exchange.

This is definitely a very bad customer experience with Asus. It made me feel so regret to buy from them and should have gone to iPad earlier on but I like android tablet.

optional means not necessary to buy 3g version lar..3g version due out later this year but from what i read is that it will replace the microsd card slot for the sim card, so you will lose microsd functionality with the 3g version (which is lame). if you got an android phone you can just tether the connection. i've done it many times and it works flawlessly.
*
if the microsd card slot is gone, i wonder how are we going to do custom OS upgrade, root, flash custom rom or do nandroid backup. As you know, the system won't detect the upgrade file in other media except the microsd only.

I wanna ask for the keyboard, just like usb keyboard? Can use mouse also?

Asus transformers got 3g support? Can make calls?

If Asus transformer vs Acer iconia, which one better?

TQ.
*
The docking keyboard contains 2 USB ports which you can use it for mouse and external storage such as USB key and hard disk.

The 3G version is not in Malaysia yet and I doubt it can make calls. If I am not wrong, it is just like an iPAD, the 3G is for internet usage only. Unless you are using skype and etc.

To choose between Iconia or Transformer, it depends on individual, you might want to read up more reviews and most importantly get a hands on experience on it, see which one serve you better. smile.gif

you can store any type of file on the microsd. for application and games it will go to your 16gb internal storage. Dont worry, its not that easy to use up. at least not yet tongue.gif

For rooting yes officially warranty will be void but when you want to send to warranty you can just unroot. take note that if something goes wrong with the rooting process or you mess up some stuff then try to get warranty you wont be able to claim.

I want to unroot but don't know how? sad.gif
