why does it sound like you either have an ipad or other android tablet instead of the transformer? cos if you actually read reviews all over the world, you'd see that everyone is raving about this device until there's shortages everywhere especially the keyboard dock bundle. The keyboard dock is different than any other for the following reasons:

1) Transformer keyboard dock VS apple IPAD / IPAD 2's keyboard dock accessory : Transformer's dock allows you to dock the tablet directly with the dock in LANDSCAPE mode unlike IPAD / IPAD 2's (you're docking it wrong concept) which docks the device in PORTRAIT mode..i mean come on, if you want to type an email, isn't it better to type in landscape mode where you have mode real estate screen space?

2) Transformer's keyboard dock has an extra battery in it claiming to increase the battery life up to 16 hours together with the tablet when both are in full charge

3) Transformer's keyboard dock has 2 USB ports and a full sized SD. Sure, there are some tablets like the acer iconia already having USB ports on the tablet itself, but if you're ok with having just a tablet with no keyboard dock, go ahead and get the iconia if it serves your purpose well.

4) Did I mention that the transformer's keyboard dock has dedicated trackpad built into it, with a single button that can differentiate between left and right click? Right click functionality behaves like the android OS back button. Also, the transformer keyboard has dedicated shortcut keys to the android OS itself such as back button, wireless toggle, bluetooth toggle, brightness setting, screenshot (YES!), browser, media player controls, volume controls, screen lock..you get the picture..if you were to be getting a normal bluetooth keyboard or standard USB keyboard, i doubt the function keys on it would be able to interact with the OS as shortcut keys for the functions i just listed. What more could you ask for??

So there you have it. I've rolled out the great features about the dock. Its really something, not your average tablet + keyboard dock combo. For the price of the keyboard dock which is RM 300 (if you buy the bundle pack tablet + keyboard dock that is), it is a lot more worth it compared to ipad's RM 229 keyboard dock that doesnt have any extra battery pack, no extra usb ports for plugging in external storage/keyboard/mice, no SD card reader..how's that for special ?

still virgin  it will be easier after more plugging in/out.. i like the usb port cover, it got some sort of magnet feel, make it so easy to close the port properly

damn.. the SP i bought have a dent mark on it... the shipping company cause it... :'(... need to see if the vendor i buy could replace for me or not...

there are so many posts here and i could not find if you guys have mentioned where can the eee pad transformer user to buy a casing for it..

So far i'm using the sleeve from ASUS. It doesn't work with the dock only the tablet....

ya, i tot it was due to the keyboard lag...

i noticed when i was typing last weekend. some words... like some letters got 'eaten' -- words missing 1 letter.

Just installed Swype 3.0 BETA on my Xoom and TF and working like a charm!

the three buttons on the screens are: back, home and last accessed/ used apps.

to kill task, i normally just go to settings -- applications -- running tasks -- 'kill'.
but so far, din really have to use it. i just dun really bother with it.

same here... i find the stock browser crashing very often. and when i check the last accessed/ used apps, browser is not in the list. click the browser apps, and the tab is blank. getting a bit disappointed with this. i guess time to try new browsers.

oh, another question, has anyone of you have ever tried pairing it with the iphone 4 for 3G connection? thinking about using the personal hotspot function on the iphone so i can have internet on the go

anyway, trying out dolphin hd. its good! better that stock browser. so far, no keyboard lag too.and the feel is very similar to stock browser or even chrome. :-)

and do avoid installing gun bros and bug village... dem addictive. lol...

wow... have to say again.. using dophin hd browser and i can type super fast without feeling the lag at all... hope its not just a random thing. will monitor over the next few days...

i totally dun feel the lag at all today and yesterday.

battery drained while tablet is dock but not used...

1 explanation is that your tablets us still 'running' even though its on standby. i first tested it... 10% per 24hrs of standby. not accurate but based on what i saw on my unit -- wifi not turned off during standby, etc...

so, when docked... dock continues to charge the tablet so tablet maintains 99-100% charge. its the dock that loses battery first...

what do you mean by larger tab? the tabs on top? heh heh... i dun need them to be big.

however, i'm still trying to figure out the full functions of Dolphin HD but as it is, i already like it very much. tap on the active tab to close it. it really makes things easier -- efficient in terms of taps. also, trying to figure out how the gesture works... it should be fun!
