From user experience point of view, I would say ipad is better than TF. Why? Not totally Asus's fault but also google.

Imagine that, I don't have to worry about common apps (such as skype) can't be downloaded from appstore, if it is restricted to region, you can simply get a US account and that's it, you don't have to hack here and there, passing thru this proxy that proxy to get access to the market.

Where the experience of using this tablet, I would say bad... first it comes with the market issue where you can't even download the flash player (ya, this sounds lame) and it keep asking you to download. Application keep crashing, keyboard lagging issue in the default browser. Since we have one default browser, why should I pay for dolphin or some other 3rd party browser? Just because of keyboard lagging? Compare this against safari in apple, no such problem.

There are a lot more issues than the above mentioned but I will just stop here.

Anyway, I am a TF, ipad and iphone user too.

Different Horse for different course smile.gif Glad you find Ipad user friendly and so does most people, that is why it is popular and lots of people have it. But the user friendliness or "idiot-proofing" has trade offs and limitations. If one can live it with it, great. Not everyone can or want to accept those restriction and compromise.

BTW, it is as simple as you stated of just getting a US registered account and you can get around the restriction? Not everyone have access to that and it is hacking in a simpler form, no different from using a US Proxy.

for my last question before getting TF tomorrow after browsing this forum for the whole 2 weeks searching and googling, read here and there..

For TF owners is it really2 value for money to have it rather that motorola xoom?ipad2?samsung tab?

is it satisfying to your usage?high performance?credibility?
hehe..wanna make sure before buying it tomorrow..tonight have to dream it 1st..hehe

For me it has been value for the money when you consider the whole package (tablet + dock). Very unique user experience. It is not the speediest of the bunch or is it the lightest like the tab or has a hefty/solid build like the Xoom, but it serves my need well. What sweetens the experience is the KDS. I have both Xoom and TF and I use them interchangeably. I spend equal amount on each but I do find that I hold on to the TF longer and longer as the Xoom feels weighty after a while. Samsung Tab 10.1 or 8.9 is a no no for me because of the lack of SD card slot. No HDMI is not a deal breaker for me personally but it's a nice to have. Both Xoom and TF comes with it so why not.

See if you can get a carrying pouch or higher capacity SD card. Maybe top up a bit for the card.

If you are buying both tablet and dock, check to see if the tablet can dock properly with the KDS, check to make sure when docked it is secure and doesn't get loose easily when you lift it or move it around a bit. Also check to see if anything misalign when you have docked the tablet and closed down the lid. Check to see if you can tolerate the reported light bleeds. It doesn't bother me. Also check for dead pixels.
