I sent mine TF101  two weeks ago to Asus service centre  , Asus callcentre call up and said item ready for collection on Friday 24th June, due to busy schedule so went to collect yesterday but technical person said not ready due to patch file and some software that need installed. i wonder why screen light bleed need to install software to repair and i taught just replace the screen or replace the unit since its new.

I even request for a replacement but asus said is already due 7 days , if within 7 days then can replace. WTF i report this issues within 7days at the dealers site and dealer ask me to send to asus for a check .. by the time send in already 10 days ..  i think really need to complaint again officially.

so for those wanna replacement make sure it within 7 days from the date of purchase.

i think this is the 1-to-1 replacement. it would be similar to other manufacturers... usually first week is 1-to-1. after that, it will be repair the unit.

yes, going thru the shop you bought from might cause delay... i think i mentioned before that evernew did advise that i go directly to service centre as they may only send units they get after about 1 week or so. they send in batches.

ya, i think the 1-to-1 won't really be a 1-to-1. you probably still need to wait for stocks to arrive. i think we had one owner commented about that -- taking a while (few weeks?!?) to get replacement (or maybe not even gotten it yet?)...

i guess, that's the problem with TF at the moment... demand more than supply.

for me... i think i will wait it out. plus, my 'defects' are small issues i can live with -- mainly light bleeding.

It's the same with LCD monitors... don't look nice but will get used to it.

I've got quite a bleed on the bottom where the charger is...

Btw, managed to play around with ADW's settings and adjust the dock's position? 

Im planning to get TF without keyboard dock. Can i get the keyboard dock separately? I have no budget to get it together.

i just bought a sling bag for my TF. it's for 13" notebook, but it's not dat big, just enough for TF+dock and some other things (charger,ext hdd)
easy to carry around, and i can throw it around without worrying it will damage my TF

is there any way to make the games launch not in full screen becoz most of the screen not support tf's screen size and became too blur

i think he means some games get stretched to full screen and thus, the images become blurred.

i know some games are like that... they were meant for small screens. i dun think we can do much about them -- have to wait until the dev work on a higher-res version...

i suspect some of these developers were using low-res images. on smaller screen, you can't tell the diff... but when its exploded onto the big screen, you can start to see the images are not sharp. i think partly this has to do with making the package small. since tablets came into the picture only recently, developers din not anticipate that using low res would be a bad idea...

silly question, where can I get the transformer in KL?

tried out Galaxy on Fire 2 -- finally found a connection fast enough for me to download the 500+mb installation.

the initial download should be only a few MB. dem cheating... when u launch the game, it will tell you to download 500+mb of files.

ya, i know its not cheating... but i was kinda shocked when i started the game and it prompted me to d/load 500mb. i had installed it 1+week back and only today managed to download the 500mb... house streamyx @ 512kbps was just too slow...

Hai guys, finally Transformer arrived at my hometown. without 3G support, other then WLAN, how do you connect to the internet?

Any Android phone? what is the requirement for the phone? er... need to buy android phone     

How is the connection? is it fast?

Should I decide not to get one now?  That's why I only trust a few brands out there.  However good the product is, brand and customer service is important.  HTC has the same ding dong ding dong experience.

Apple handles this pretty well, even through Maxis.  No ding dong but definately one to one exchange.  Bear in mind that its only during warranty period.  After warranty.....
