Hi all,

I based in Malaysian but my employer is in Singapore.

Every month my company is direct paying my salary via TT transfer.

Do I need to pay tax?

No, it is not a foreign income.
You are in Malaysia, aka you work in Malaysia, means the income is derived in Malaysia.

as per cherroy said, it doesnt matter who pays you or where they pay you or where you receive the money... what important is where you earn it... do check with your singapore Company, do they deduct your salary for SG income tax? if yes, then you might not need to pay tax or pay less here back in malaysia.

Did the letter mention which clause are you being audited?

Worst case: 10x of the tax difference.

That page is useless. Do you remember which item you overclaimed?

Got you!

Majority of the people will be easily got audited for this clause. Some of my friends also got confused between the monthly interest payment and the monthly repayment.

Sorry brother. Please get ready for it.

I'm kind of surprised. I thought the system has closed for filing since May 2013.
