Did you cheat on the "additional" tax relief like Computer and Broadband ?
If you have all the relevant receipts, you have ZERO worry
*
the computer receipt is genuine except I used a friends member card for discount where his name is printed on the receipt from Harvey Norman. as for broadband I only started using in Dec 2010. that I actually submit for full tax relief

Computer receipt under your friend's name cannot be used. doh.gif shakehead.gif
Is the Broadband fee for Dec 2010 = RM300 ?

LHDN did a good to find out your "tax issues"... be prepared to pay some additional taxes + interest

Dec bill dated 1 Jan 2011. 300++ . the name for the computer receipt is because I used my friends membership card. isn't tat justifiable enough? what kind of penalty amount am I looking at here?

hi experts, need some advice and directions. I got my tax refund mid of this year, however today I received a letter from lhdn stating that I am audited and to produce the relevant receipts. I am puzzled at this. my computer claim is somewhat fake and my first payment for internet line was only due in Jan 2011. can I still produce this receipt? how can I go about this? why am I audited only after receiving my tax return?
*
*Beep Beep Beep* All red lights flashing !!! *Woot Woot Woot*

Seriously:
(1) LHDN can audit any of your income, up to 7 years history, whether you declare or not declare.

(2) Computer claim - good luck. Goto LYP or LYN forum and try to get a valid backdated receipt, buy

(3) Internet line - good luck. You can try *fake* the receipt. But if LHDN go deep down and contact the telco, your payment will not be in the system.

(4) There is two things you can't avoid in life: death and taxes.

(5) Suggest you to surrender to LHDN. i.e. wrong declaration. They will recalculate the extra taxes you need to pay, and also may fine (denda) you.

Wrong place here to check if you already have an existing file.

Call up LHDN if they allow you to check over phone.
or email them.
or goto their counter.

Bring MyKad.

Hi guys

My relative got a notice of offense for not reporting his YA2006 income. But the problem is that he have already took VSS at 2005 and left the company . For 2006 onward he did not work till now as he rely on his son.

The offense is under seksyen 112. What should he do now? Report to income tax or just let it be?

If he has nothing to hide, i.e. clean, just bring everything. Showhand with LHDN. Nothing to scare. Worse case is LHDN claim he didn't submit BE/B form for YA2006 only.

If like that, just submit (late submission) and small fine (RM50?) only.
Otherwise, if win, walk out clean.

However, if he has other side-income or undeclared/under-declared... then good luck sweat.gif
Or perhaps those local stock market dividends hmm.gif

I was audited once, I asked them why me, they claimed it is random. Brought all docs / receipts / etc. Showhand with them. They can't bite in at all, not even small chew icon_rolleyes.gif

any feedback on this?

QUOTE(jutamind @ Nov 4 2011, 01:24 PM)
all these while i'm just paying my tax as employee using BE form. this year i've setup a company with few friends (as a director), in addition to my full time job.

so i guess for next year, i have to fill in Form B for income tax submission. do i need to inform income tax department of the change of my employment status? or i just fill in Form B and submit before next June?

Fellow forumers, heard anything about personal income tax on the FiT income?
Pretty big hit if an individual is taxed AND the donkey CAPEX cannot be depreciated.

Copied and pasted from SEDA's website (http://seda.gov.my)
27. Is income from feed-in tariffs considered taxable income?

Yes, it is taxable income and any exemptions would require a policy decision from the Government. KeTTHA will monitor the progress of renewable energy growth in the country and conduct necessary analyses before putting forth any policy recommendations on this matter.

1) go to lhdn, create your income tax account.
2) ask for your password for e-filing
3) login to lhdn e-filing... start fill in the blanks. In order to do that, you
need to have your EA form (given by employer to indicate your annual
income, etc).
4) start asking question in this thread when you don't know how to fill on
any specific part of the e-fling questionaire.
