Heard the last day to do our e-filing is 30 April, extended. Is that true? If no, then the last day is 31st March 2013 right?
*
The last day for filing is 30th April no matter how.

But, like last year, it has 2 weeks extension from 30th April.

Hi,

Can I claim the medical expenses for my mom's bone spurs treatment under the following deduction claims:

"Perbelanjaan rawatan perubatan, keperluan khas dan penjaga untuk ibu bapa (keadaan kesihatan disahkan oleh pengamal perubatan)
Medical treatment, special needs and carer expenses for parents (certified by medical practitioner)"

Appreciate any help.

Thanks
*
I believe it's claimable.

As long as you got tax file number, you can do it online.

About the TAT, I can't comment. Perhaps some people can share here.

There's a possibility that the clause could be removed like the broadband claim.

for business individual (sole-proprietor/partnership) the due date is 30 june

What is the fuss over the dateline? The due date is posted on the e-filing main page. sweat.gif

If extension to be granted, LHDN will make a press release.

Hey guys,

Y when i put my expenses on books Rm 1000 i get:

Tolak : Jumlah rebat  RM400 and able to get back rm600+ from them

but when i put my expenses on books RM500

there is no Tolak : Jumlah rebat  = RM0

and I only get back RM100+ from them?

How they calculate my rebat from expenses? Seems like no difference unless i claim maximum
*
Because the RM 1000 relief will bring your taxable income (after deduction of eligible relieves) down to the lower tax bracket in order to get the RM 400 rebate:

QUOTE
Rebat Cukai Pendapatan Bagi Individu Yang Mempunyai Pendapatan Bercukai Kurang Daripada RM35,000.

thnx.. like dat not fair ler.. cos i also try put 600, 700 800 but only claim maximum only can get the rebat.. If no claim maximum is no diference sweat.gif
*
What not fair! It's all come back to the "taxable/chargable income". If don't want to be taxed at higher rate, reduce your aggregate income. You may make meaningful donation up to 7% of aggregate income.

Filing borang e-BE now. Where do i fill my commission?

Do you have your EA form with you? You fill the e-BE with the guidance of EA form. That'll be much easier.

Yeah my EA form splits my basic and commission:

Basic salary = RM35k
Commission = RM35k

Total = RM70k

So when I fill in my income, I fill in RM70k lump sum as my total income? Or do I have to split it out? Thank you. smile.gif
*
Total sum under Section B in EA form.

Under "Deduction Claim", there's one item item which is "Medical treatment, special needs and carer expenses for parents (certified by medical practitioner)"

My father in law went to hospital for cancer treatment, can I use that bill to deduct 5,000 from here?
*
I don't think the "-in law" is eligible.

The education relief is introduced back then to promote life long continuous education. It's meant for those who are working to improve their skills set.

in the url of http://www.hasil.gov.my/pdf/pdfam/FAQBEBM2010_280211_1.pdf

there is one section about 3G is eligible for tax deduction.

i am wondering whether does it apply to all these phone call package with 3g. or only applicable for the internet package without any phone call package.
*
Only data fee is applicable.

For instance, DiGi Smart Plan, its monthly commitment is for data. Calls and SMSes are as per usage.

So you can claim the data fee portion, RM 48 * 12 = RM 576 (capped at RM 500).

The answer is not. All receipts must reflect the current year of assessment. Back dated receipts are not acceptable.
