Hi everyone. Good day. I am planning to go for a holiday next week to Penang with my family. We will be staying in an apartment which has a swimming pool. My baby is 6 months old, and she gets so excited when bathing in her tub. I was thinking to take her swimming in the pool but I am looking for a float for toddlers. I found 1 that straps around the neck but I am not sure of it's safety. Please recommend what equiptment I can buy for her first swim. She is abit small sized ( arnd 6kg only ) Thanks.

it depends if your daughter likes to be confined. My son didn't like to be confined (he hated strollers)...so I just got him the arm float..but hubby and I just carried him throughout the swim.
I suggest buying the suit that keeps the baby warm in the pool. I bought it from Mothercare..i think that is really useful so that the babies can be in the water for a longer time.

QUOTE(phythia79 @ Jun 2 2011, 12:55 PM) I suggest buying the suit that keeps the baby warm in the pool. I tried to look for a suit for her, but since she is small sized, everything seems big for her. I'll check out mothercare. Any other suggestions? Thanks.

it's a suit..with velcro..i think can fit your daughter..as they come in many sizes. furthermore..you'll be putting this over her after she used her swimming suit..so i'm sure able to.
sunblock lotion..don't forget that too! and if you can find swimming diapers..would be good too (i used normal diapers..couldn't find swimming diapers)
