Hmm, anybody received an SMS providing you Temporary Password for online banking? I think this one is for those who have yet to register/new to bank.
I called them up and the CS told me that they actually send this one out to all their customer.

I remember I applied for the Mastercard Gold only. Don't think it's thru agent coz the banker itself called me to re-fill the form again.

Yes I'm aware of that and that's why I'm asking which one is better, that leaves them no choice of either letting me cancel one card without paying the GST, or "waive" it.
Then I can show them my proof. I've sent the applications form and others to the banker's email address and I still have the hardcopy.
As of "waive" it means they give me free points to redeem the RM50 GST rewards. You might say it's not possible but actually it happens to one of my colleague recently that he called up to cancel the card, and the banker or maybe just CS(not possible I think) offer my colleague to retain the card and in returns, the banker give him 10k points free, and few vouchers.

QUOTE(Human Nature @ Jan 28 2012, 11:11 AM) it is possible for the bank to offer such points to offset the GST, however it is unethical for the person who handled your application to do such thing. anyway, if you are okay with it and you can get such offer, then it is a good situation for you Yea, I checked my hardcopy form today that I actually only applied Mastercard Gold.

Just activated both of my cards, here's what they say :
Annual fee are waived for 2 years - If payment good, they will continue to waive.
As for GST - they say if I charged at least 3 times in each of the card (total 6 times) they will waive the GST for me. No minimum charge value.
Sounds good. Bank are actually trying to keep their customer in hand.

QUOTE(changjie83 @ Feb 1 2012, 10:25 AM) thanks Human Nature, I see. Actually I haven't tried call customer service before for waiver, my other cards are free for life. In order to convince CS for waiver, please comment. should I tell CS I will use the card more often with prompt payment. The CS I called last time told me that the bank will waive for me if you're a good paymaster. But I don't know about platinum card lol. Try giving them a call and ask.

I'd say they will always approve, because if your card can swipe for RM2000 Also provided the interest/one time fee is covered in your credit limit as well

Ok, from my experience recently, I already do 3 times swipe on my card. They promise me the same but here's what they say "For first year GST, we can't give you rebate, but the 2nd years onward we can do rebate for you" Better you call them back and ASK properly lol. lucky I just swipe less than RM100, the Free Cash covered them all.
