I think the CS will offer him $$. For my case, I have tried to cancel my card for 2 years already yet they offer me RM50 to offset the GST. So I just keep the card (Not a single swipe since day 1, dunno why they 12 retain me). The card actually came from my housing loan application but in the end I did not take the loan. He's waiting for SCB to offer either $$ or choicepoints.
