QUOTE(ronnie @ Jun 2 2011, 10:40 PM) Started my Dining spend for June 2011... hope to get the 25% cash-back rebate. Another question: As long as I'm within the 38,000 cardmembers who registered successfully, I will get the 25% rebate, right ? Yes, you will get the registration sms from 66300, and that you have spend RM1500 during the period.

QUOTE(ihatemyguts @ Jun 6 2011, 01:37 PM) Came across their booth at MIECC yesterday, and was told that a 1-year EPF statement is required. I've a question though, since I've just started working, is it possible for my dad to act as a guarantor or sorts in place of the EPF statement? Thanks for any feedback. if you already start working, perhaps you can show the salary slip as proof of income.

QUOTE 9a. Successful Registration during the first SMS Registration Period between 1 June 2011 (12:00 am) to 30 June (11:59pm) will have his/her Qualifying Spend during the first Qualifying Spend Period (1 June – 30 June 2011) and second Qualifying Spend Period (1 July – 31 July 2011) being considered for the Promotion. Abit confuse here. I have succesfully registered on the 1st period (middle June) and I just swiped RM2500 for a non-dining item. So I will be receiving the 25% cashback for all my dinings during the [u]1st and 2nd period as well, i.e. 1 June 2011 - 31 July 2011? If that is the case, what is the meaning of the following? QUOTE 23. The extra Qualifying Spend during the first Qualifying Spend Period will not be carried forward for the second Qualifying Spend Period. For example, if a Cardholder spends RM3,000 in the first Qualifying Spend Period, the extra RM1,500 will not be considered as Qualifying Spend for the second Qualifying Spend Period.
The same principle applies for the calculation of the dining charges to award the 25% CashBack where dining charges made during the first Qualifying Spend Period will not be taken into account for calculating the Qualifying Spend of the second Qualifying Spend Period. QUOTE(ronnie @ Jun 25 2011, 11:41 AM) You only get 25% cash-back on ALL DINING on the first period (1-30 June 2011) only. But you get to participate in both periods (1-30 June and 1-31 July) with 1 SMS only. Oh, what a downer..

I hope SCB extend this 25% cashback promo as it is better if not on par with MBB2 AMEX. Assuming a RM2000 transaction (RM600 on dining), simple calculation: MBB2 AMEX: 10k TP (RM50) + 5% max (RM50) = RM100 vs SCB: 2k CP (RM10) + 0.5% for business visa (RM10) + 25% dining max (RM150) = RM170 SCB still give more return for RM1500 transaction (RM300 on dining). Drawback is the min RM1500 to qualify. No AMEX acceptance and weekend constraint This post has been edited by Human Nature: Jun 28 2011, 06:56 PM

Anyone here holding SCB Preferred World MasterCard Credit Card? I would like to know whether it has the Platinum Travel (Unlimited access to KLIA PP lounge, etc), similar to Platinum Business Visa.
Thanks

14k for RM50 is tad too high..now gonna have to redeem vouchers (which also require higher choicepoints than treatpoints). Bad move for SCB. Hope they reverse this.

QUOTE 17. The maximum cash back entitlement for each Cardholder is RM150 for each Card throughout the Promotion Period. On the 25% cashback, do take note that the RM150 is the maximum for June and July, not each month.

QUOTE Please be informed that the request to increase the credit limit will require you to submit your latest 3 months pay slip together with a written letter to the bank requesting for credit limit increase. You may send the pay slip attached to the Malaysia.Feedback@sc.com for further processing. Should you require any additional assistance, please do not hesitate to contact our customer care hotline at 1-300-888-888 or email to us. Thank you for banking with Standard Chartered Bank. I think the procedure for upgrading to platinum is the same. Do remember to ask if you need to pay the GST again for the upgraded card.
