QUOTE(ronnie @ Nov 1 2011, 11:33 AM) ARM code is required for SCB Online Banking account created with CC initial stage. ARM code = to tag your SCB online banking to particular branch code. It may take from 24 and up to 72 hours to be updated by the Acount Services team. I guess I won't get to get my RM100 if they doesn't activate by today. I never recall having any ARM code before and this is the first time I register for bill payment too. Dont worry la, I am keeping my finger cross that the 20000 is still not yet filled for 1 week

For December and January, I dont have to rush to pay at the early of the month anymore right? As long as more than RM100 per month will do...

QUOTE(ronnie @ Jan 2 2012, 12:55 AM) The Bill Payment transaction done on 1 Jan 2012 still show status of "Submitted".... I hope can get the RM100 Actually, the date of payment on dec and jan is not important right as long as you are the first among the first 20,000 that paid in nov. If it is, then I can kiss the RM100 goodbye because my payment in Dec is at the very end of the month.. This post has been edited by Human Nature: Jan 2 2012, 01:01 AM

As long as they have promos like dining and online bill payment promo every year, i am a happy SCB card holder. And they need to update their dining promo offers, it is already 2012.

QUOTE(temptation1314 @ Jan 27 2012, 10:25 PM) They gave me 2 cards One is Mastercard gold, another is the Visa Business Gold. I don't need 2 ler. If I had to keep one, which one is better? Anyone got experiences? The question is which one you applied for? Application through agent?

QUOTE(temptation1314 @ Jan 28 2012, 12:36 AM) I remember I applied for the Mastercard Gold only. Don't think it's thru agent coz the banker itself called me to re-fill the form again. You are aware that you will be charged RM50 GST for each card right? Perhaps extra boxes were ticked on your behalf without your consent. Anyway, as pointed put by Ronnie, the visa business gold is better.

QUOTE(temptation1314 @ Jan 28 2012, 04:26 AM) Yes I'm aware of that and that's why I'm asking which one is better, that leaves them no choice of either letting me cancel one card without paying the GST, or "waive" it. Then I can show them my proof. I've sent the applications form and others to the banker's email address and I still have the hardcopy. As of "waive" it means they give me free points to redeem the RM50 GST rewards. You might say it's not possible but actually it happens to one of my colleague recently that he called up to cancel the card, and the banker or maybe just CS(not possible I think) offer my colleague to retain the card and in returns, the banker give him 10k points free, and few vouchers. it is possible for the bank to offer such points to offset the GST, however it is unethical for the person who handled your application to do such thing. anyway, if you are okay with it and you can get such offer, then it is a good situation for you

QUOTE(changjie83 @ Feb 1 2012, 10:25 AM) thanks Human Nature, I see. Actually I haven't tried call customer service before for waiver, my other cards are free for life. In order to convince CS for waiver, please comment. should I tell CS I will use the card more often with prompt payment. I think they will look at their record. You can try searching this thread using the search box (bottom, left) for some tips and experiences by other forumers Do update here after you make the call ya

QUOTE(andrekua2 @ Feb 14 2012, 07:13 PM) I think SCB rewards service is very good. Redeem a steamer last week and today already got it. In comparison, request for a replacement last week and still haven't got it today. Not only that, they already denied my access to my card when I tried to buy air tickets. Going to cancel and change to Citibank perhaps. Really like to have one card at least which is popular with 0% installment. Both OCBC & SCB cards not eliglble for 0%. Somemore really not happy with the high point requirement for redemption. Other bank seem to offer much better stuffs as well. Thinking to change to either MBB or Citibank. If you were to terminate your SCB card, please do us a favour and highlight the high point requirement when more and more people cite it as a reason, they might revise them, like the 0.5% to 0.3% cashback for the business card.
