Just for fun, I submitted a request via fax to "upgrade" my SCB CC to Preferred WMC Still awaiting calls/feedbacks from SCB.

Only visa will having the 5% cashback on petrol while master is not eligible.

To do that, you will have to pay for 2 GST.  One for yr existing card and another, upgraded card if approved right?

I tot of doing that too.  wondering should i cancel my existing one first.

I think is 0.5%.

Will not get the cashback if cancel existing card as this offer only for new to bank customer.
"New to Bank" T&C : Any customer which do not hold SCB CC for last 12 months.

If apply Business Platinum Visa now, can enjoy 5% cashback for petrol in next 1 year as this is temporary promotion.

Received call from SBC CC, they claimed only can apply 2 platinum card for Rm400 cashback only.

You can get a total RM600 cash in total (3 cards). I have customer that done so.

RM600 - RM150 (GST) = RM450.

I not sure wheher you can get the cash rebate 5% petrol if you upgrade your card. I have customer trying now, will let you know the result later.

The bank received my letter and is processing it.... let's see what the result from my upgrade request.

Received 2 SMS this evening to inform that my CC has been approved.
Why 2 ? I can assume 1 for principal, 1 for supplementary.
Faxed letter on 9 July, approved SMS on 11 July.

Tomorrow will check if I see the new CC listed in SCB Online Banking     
Most importantly, did I get RM300 rebate or not.....???!?!?!?!

Yes, you will get the rebate RM300. Its will show on your statement RM250.

RM300 - RM50 (GST) = RM250

Wrong info... For online cash back , u will get RM200-RM50 then within 60 days u will get another RM 100.

For applications through the Bank's Direct Sales Agencies or via the Bank's branches, the cashback will be credited into the cardholder's credit card account within 30 days from the approval date.
For online applications, the cashback will be given to the cardholder in the following manner:-
12.1 For Gold / Business Gold credit card, the sum of RM150 will be credited to the cardholder's credit card account upon approval of the credit card. The balance RM100 will be credited within 30 days after that.
12.2 For Platinum / Business Platinum credit card and Preferred MasterCard World, the sum of RM200 will be credited to the cardholder's credit card account upon approval of the credit card. The balance RM100 will be credited within 30 days after that.

If a New Customer applies for more than one credit card through any application channel during the Campaign Period, the cashback will only be awarded to one credit card, namely the credit card with the highest cashback entitlement.

Example
Mr A applies through one of the Bank's branches for a Gold credit card. He also applies online for a Platinum credit card. The Bank has approved both applications. Mr A will only be entitled to the cashback for the Platinum credit card, namely RM300.
