QUOTE(ronnie @ Jun 21 2012, 12:31 PM) At least SCB is willing to retain customer with $$$ QUOTE(andyfriends @ Jun 21 2012, 12:33 PM) i fully agree with u. better than other banks. Well yeah, but they really ought to provide better training to their customer care personnels. I got a feeling that they are trained not to give a direct reply but copy paste from a standard FAQ list.

I did look at HLB Essential as a candidate to replace my SCB Business too. One factor favouring SCB is its dining promotions. HLB not so generous.

i dont mind getting a second SCB card if they relax this new customer ruling abit. You might be just right, RM450 cashback / LCD tv offer is kinda too high for normal card.

QUOTE(Veli @ Jul 1 2012, 02:06 PM) Maybe that for only citibank , for Standard Chartered Bank they still have to call the customer which apply thru online and there are agent for online application as well. How do I know this ? coz i working in Standard Chartered Bank. Please dont blame the those agent which doing direct sales as their benefit not as good as online, thats why agent might giving misleading info scare that customer will go apply thru online. Please dont try to justify the misleading info. If they already know the info is wrong, but still use it to get more sign-ups, it is known as cheating

Need to check with them again whether this promotion extended or expired There is a new promo with RM300 cashback. Please share more with us if this is true. 1st 2 years annual fee waiver is still aplicable? This post has been edited by Human Nature: Jul 4 2012, 01:16 AM

QUOTE(andyfriends @ Jul 4 2012, 10:37 AM) That's the reason why i am applying. But still dont understand, if that is the case, everyone will be applying more than 1 SCB card and cut the existing one. ended up SCB is loosing, what's the point? I am still trying to figure out their thought. they are always happy to offer bribe money to retain the old one

QUOTE(ronnie @ Jul 6 2012, 11:31 PM) That's for the "Preferred World MasterCard Debit Card spend" Debit card? I am confused, to apply for this Preferred WMC credit card, need to open a Preferred M2 Account/SuperSalary Account, and at the same time they will give a Debit card as well? All this info is from the Preferred Banking page and no mention about the need to open any account at the Card page. So can I simply apply for this card without opening any account?

So need to open a Preferred M2 Account/SuperSalary Account/e$aver Account. They should at least state this under the card details. Cancel plan. Dont want to open account, just want the card

Meaning still can just get the CC without the Preferred banking reward.
Just the card package - 2x points if spend above RM1500, no points below RM1500. Not a good deal.
