WTS a pair of used custom iems. It's an upgraded Shure SE530, to a 6 drivers customs. Features dual highs, dual mids and dual lows BA drivers, with 3 ways cross over done by Unique Melody.

Sound signature is similar to SE530, with much more dynamic sound, Ofcoz. It has way better high frequency and more extended bass than the originals.

Age: SE530 was around 1year old, Unique Melody mod was done 4 months ago.
Price: RM1000
Reason if selling: gathering funds for another iems.

Please note that another around RM350 is required to reshell the iems fitting your ears.

For guys who wants to take a look or interested, can arrange a meet up in KL area. Who knows if you actually can wear the iems? smile.gif

Cheers.

can't really think of a reason why you want to buy another IEM when you have a custom IEM already? is it that the custom doesn't sounds good to you?

I also own a UM Mage. Honestly, I dont quite like both UM Mage and the SE530x6. I guess its personal taste, as Mage is widely praised by many and se530x6 also has quite afew satisfied owners, Coz I'm a mid sound whore, they dont provide what im seeking in the mid session. I have sold off a Westone 3 at lowyat.net too, same reason.

The reason y I chose to let go Se530x6 rather than the Mage, Coz it's relative more expensive and I can get more fund from it. Imagine if I were to let go the Mage, I won't b able to sell much when people can get a new pair at around RM1500...

Hope I made myself clear, tho I don't expect these iems to be sold easily. Custom iems never have resell value... Oh well.

Redaxis,

Thanks for arranging a meet up for me to have a listen.

This is my impression after the listening session
Shure se530x6 is what Unique Melody calls, I can listen that the bass has improved to extend lower and the treble more pronounce. The mid remains similar but the overall feels that the music is much more refine and realistic. Soundstage is slightly larger that gives you spaces in between for the instrument and the imaging is in better sense that gives you the better realism. The bass reminds me of D7000 driven out of the Gumstick but in less quantity (due to fit issues with my ears)

That is driven straight from a Hippo Gumstick playing mp3 320 kbps.

If anyone is interested in the sound signature, they can definitely give it a try.

Cheers.

YES, I'm that guy and it's a little too late to reply to this post, lol...

The SE530x6 sounded damn good to me when I first just got it from UM, but there are minor fitting issue, where I had to press on the IEM to have perfect seal, then I sent it back for a reshell again.

When they came back from UM the second time, I got a shock coz the bass response went up significantly! I contacted UM and expressed that they didn't do any adjustment to the sound. It's not that the sound degraded, it just doesn't sound like SE530 anymore. I personally liked how the mid wasn't as far back and less bass response as before, but it's too late now as there's no way it'd going back to how it sounded, hence the idea of selling them.

It's then sold to lin who likes it after testing it out. smile.gif
