For me Celcom is always the middle choice, which meant in between Maxis and Digi. Maxis's 3g line is fast but its Iphone plan is most expensive one? ;-)

Digi's plan is cheapest but line is sux..;-)

Celcom is in between which not so expensive n not so cheap and 3g is stronger than maxis but slower than maxis.

But its coverage is the best i guess? ;-))
Cheers~

Depends.

Some places, Celcom can get relatively better especially in rural area. Even kampung area got 3G.

All big 3 telcos are currently undergoing LTE upgrades on sites since 1-2years ago, but they'll only light 'em up next year.

Can't wait to get hands on with LTE, frustrated with nowadays speed

Doesn't matter anyway if telcos intend on capping speed in the first place.
Last time people on Celcom's cheaper plans are only in ride for up to hundreds kbps in speed.

I tried my DIGI at KLCC area, slow like turtle haha

Digi can be somewhat disappointing in lots of area since months back. Tempted to go Celcom postpaid (even previously using the speedy Celcom SKMM) but my place doesn't have Celcom 3G coverage.

Seems that YMMV. Only that in lots of area, Celcom fares better.

I'm using Celcom SKMM in my iPad.. but it is totally slowest internet speed I've ever have.  laugh.gif
I get 300kbps all the time. Sometime less than that.  doh.gif

This is my iphone speedtest in Kota Damansara. I don't know what about speed you guys have..but I'm pretty damn satisfied with it  nod.gif

Already passed my Celcom SKMM sim long time ago since my current place got no celcom 3g. Last time tried around Mbps even with heavy usage.

Well, dunno why Digi nowadays become the 'new' Celcom. Remembered some time ago, Celcom can get super slow, especially in neighbourhood full with students. Looks like they've improved a lot then. But still, gonna stick with Digi due to reason above, until I'm moving again. Celcom's biz P148 (not iPhone package) is super tempting, especially for people who love to talk a lot.

But they giving out some rebate at least to cover some of your extra voice usage, which in return will benefit all of us. I believed all 3 telcos did their research before rolling out their plan and package. So I believed Celcom came out with this plan to suit majority of their current iphone4,4s subscriber. As for me, i dont think i fully utilized the 3000/6000 mins call or sms, so i think this new plan is really suit my needs and usage.

We have 3 telcos and all of them offering a very competitive plan/package to end user. If we are not happy with telco C, nobody forcing us to stick with telco C and now we can even maintain our number and move to a different telco. This is a winning situations for us as a customer. The choice is yours.

Well, i do agree how those big 3 already done research regarding the plan they're going to roll.

It's just that this is not the Celcom plans that we saw and love before. Simply put, this not so Celcom-ish. Most other Celcom plans, even the previous iPhone plans, are pretty generous in minutes and sms.

Well, it's just a bit hard to swallow for existing loyal Celcom customers who's already on the network for their ample perks prior iPhone 5.

need to walk in to celcom centre to request to port out? or direct walk in to hotlink to request port in?
*
You don't need to go to the ones you're porting out for any telco. Just make sure your bill got no outstanding amount, and you're no longer bound to contract. Go to the ones you'd like to port, they'll give you a sim that you'll use after the porting is done. In between, your previous telco may call to verify.

u must convert ur supp line to prepaid 1st, and thn change to celcom prime postpaid.
thn u can get ur iphone on 14th/12
y i know? coz i just did it today......... rclxub.gif

Well, for digi supplementary line, actually you can just straight port into Celcom's prepaid sim firsthand. That may ease up the process a bit, since porting between telcos takes time, days even. Once you get it ready on Celcom prepaid, it won't take much time to migrate into First Prime for example.

Btw, if you're only free on 14th and plan on doing everything in one day, above holds true (changing digi supplementary to digi prepaid), since porting from prepaid should be less hassle. Still, porting takes time.
