Called Celcom CS just now. They mentioned for the new ip5 plan, existing iphone plan cant be extended.

What!?! Really? Then, what if the existing customers wanted to subscribe for the ip5..? No one will get the 2nd line right / by paying for the penalty before contract ends is also a very unfair option. hmm... wink.gif

Total cost for iphone + 12 month(rm98) plan is rm2834 correct?

Phone price 1888
Advance payment 150

Total upon registration : 2038
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
First month = 0 (-75 from advance payment)
Second month = 0 (-75 from advance payment)
Third to Tenth = 75 x 8 [(98-23) x 8] (23 from 10 month rm230 rebate)
Eleventh and Twelfth = 98 + 98
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Total will be 2038 + (75x8) + 98 + 98
=RM2834

How is my calculation? Correct?
*
Yup. For me is correct. Just that, under the T&C, Celcom stated RM150 will be credited into first bill (means first month of RM 75), maybe the balance of RM 75 will be brought forward to second month? Need to x2 confirm with them.. hmm.

Why make the plan so complicated. Just give the device price straight away, RM 1658. den everything is good. rclxub.gif

No, your first month bill will be RM 250 credited + RM 24.50 rebate, so total RM 274.50 minus RM 10 stamp duty minus prorated usage/total usage minus 6% GST, and roll to next month until your bill start paying your bill.

This is what Celcom customer service told me.

which means:
1. upfront = 2038
2. first and second month bill = 0 per month
3. third to tenth month bill = 75 per month
4. 11th & 12th month bill = 98 per month
given that not exceeding quota..
correct?

guys, i'd just called Celcom.
Regarding the deposit of RM150 (Prime - RM98), the care consultant said it'll be credited to the first bill based on the T&C there.
BUT!! Still i have to pay for my monthly bill (even 1st & 2nd month). I was like =.=??, did she get it wrong for the first time. I asked for the second time, stating that I'd already pay for the advance payment (to be credited into first month bill), so means first two(2) months, I don't need to pay for anything, since after rebate, it was RM75/month. Again, she said: No, you'll still need to pay for every month. the advance is just like deposit. After 12month, only Celcom will pay back to me IN CASH. I was like WTF?! Is this customer care consultant well-trained? I thought stated clearly on the T&C, it is CREDITED in to the first bill, as I just want to x2 confirm with them. Ended up, I lagi confused now.

At the end, I didn't stick with her too long, as she seems like started to be less & less patience, sort of thinking: "What customer is this? Want sign then sign la. What the hell asking for so many ques.."

One chance given to Celcom. shakehead.gif

I'm went to bluecube today and ask the same question about advanced payment as well, they told me it will credit to the first bill and carry forward until i used up all the advanced payment
*
That was indeed our initial thought from the statement "The advance payment will be credited to your first month bill". You've got the right info from the Bluecube staff. thumbup.gif
We're stunned by the hotline care consultant. Haiz. doh.gif

I experienced the same thing yesterday, when I called the customer careline and asked the celcom staff for clarification about the iphone 5 plans and all she answered was "i don't know, i'm a new staff in here but i can ask my colleagues for answers." i was like wtf i waited for about 5 minutes to be connected and then she said she has no idea. I hung up instantly and went to the nearest blue cube instead. The staffs at blue cube all seasons place penang were like "we havent receive anything from the hq in kl yet, so we cannot say anything." i mean seriously, how can they release a plan without all the people who work for them knowing what to explain? urgh so annoying but i'm still buying the ip5 from celcom though. Pfftt

Haha. GG-ed by their staff. rclxub.gif

The warranty is still 1 year even contracted to 24 months.

I was exactly think like you previously when opt for 12 or 24 months, but since the time I start to subscribe data plan (Digi Smartplan RM 68 for 3GB) about 2-3 years ago, and now it still selling at the same price (just notice DiGi has now promotion for smartplan, same price but high data volumn).

so far use Celcom for 7 months without contract and don't see any changes on the data plan yet, and I think I will go for 24 months as Celcom is the only one giving me best coverage experience (might not for you). Digi sucks all the while!

Anyway, reading the T&C now, it should credit until you fully utilized the advanced payment.

CODE
Advance payment will be credited into customer account and offset charges from 1st bill onwards until full amount has been utilized.
Advance payment is non-refundable. All Celcom First Device Bundle Plan comes with contract and customer is bound to duration of the contract of 12 or 24 months. In the event of early termination, maximum penalty charges of RM1,000 shall be charged and any remaining amount from advance payment shall be forfeited.

Thanks there! Now only I realize the T&C link under the page. laugh.gif
