- a feeling of deep pleasure or satisfaction derived from your actions, qualities, or possessions etc.
- a person or thing that causes you pride.
- a proper sense of what is fitting for your position or character, self-respect.
- an unduly high opinion of your qualities or merits.
- to be proud of an achievement or quality.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pride

Pride is listed as one of the seven deadly sins.
I don't understand why pride is wrong.
Let's say like for examples : I have pride in the work I do. I am my family's pride.
Pride and arrogant is two different things.
Discuss.

They shouldn't have any emotion in the first place. At least according to their teachings.

QUOTE(freezadwar @ Jun 4 2011, 07:19 AM)
pride is not wrong actually.

the wrong one is when you are to proud of your achievement.

you can be proud, but at the same time, you need to be humble

proud and not arrogant that is

QUOTE(Playboy21 @ Jun 4 2011, 11:43 PM)
When you're successful, you tend to be proud of what you have. But I, like you TS, don't see anything wrong in that either, as you worked hard to achieve whatever you did in order to be where you are at in the first place. So yeah, it's the arrogance that people dislike. smile.gif
