YES 4G mobile Internet is another network after Unifi and P1. Is 4G have potential in current market? I've tested the speed, the speed was quite good and stable. Even raining heavily it doesn't have problem in disconnected over my area. However, "YES" is paid by prepaid card, which mean once your credit is finished, you couldn't online, and have to reload just like prepaid handphone. And of course, there is also pros, you only paid the amount u used and this is not charging by monthly.
There is 3 product of YES 4G so far, which are a broadband (RM99, not included credit inside), a wifi modem (portable palm size mobile device, RM1200 included RM1200 credit inside), a router modem ( can support 10 users, RM1200 included RM1200 credit inside).
They charging 9sen = 3MB, which are cheaper then MAXIS, DIGI broadband. In another words, the RM1200 can support 107GB.
There is a monthly valuepack too: 1) RM68, 3.5GB, free 150min calls/sms. 2) RM150, 10GB, free 250 min calls/sms.
The valuepack is only available for 30days, you can top up by your own if the GB runs out.
How do u guys think?

Getting Started

|
i'm quite happy with my current YES services. Taking a 68value, i use buzz phone to make cheap call/sms (receiving call/sms from other telco also not a problem, as they can contact me via my YES no. 018-xxxxxxx) & also on the internet. I do have YesGo & huddle also for laptop or wifi devices. agreed that the network coverage is not extensive...but once i'm always at the full bar area, the service will never fail me.

Currently i'm using the digi rm68 in wm7 , when i using it surfing the youtube, the HD version will become low resolution due to the 3G network speeding. felt very confusing weather changing to yes or not ? honestly im a lazy bug, willing pay more for convenience. So, any brother could compare the con and pros ?

YES is awesome. I think you should give it a try! You can rollover the unused data for next month which makes it unique compared to other ISPs.

Digi is the cheapest one but the signal and coverage is a bit poor, while the price for YES 4G got a bit difference, but the signal is stable, even it is smooth during thunderstorm at my office here, as you say you willing pay more for convenience, i think u should give it a try P/S: *just my opinion*. I've used Maxis 3G, U Broadband and now YES 4G.
1. Yes 4G 2. P1 2. U Broadband 3. Maxis 3G (Maxis is good but once you exceed the bandwidth you're in hell).

I have used 1.Maxis - once a while blue(fast) but most of the time green/pink (slow) 2, DiGi - stable but kinda slow recently coz i think their network is overloaded by iphone users 3, YES - my main connection since they launch til now.happy with it, even though sometimes there could be some problem but not always. Great Service,Speed,Value. Which provider would give you up to 8 mbps for only $68?

Maxis is OK..., really OK for me, but like Iceheart said, once you exceed their monthly quota, it will act like hell! Too slow until Google also cannot be load properly.... So, I would suggest for u to take YES 4G if your area support it... Just buy their dongle, I saw someone in Garage Sales sold their dongle for just RM70.. Nice bargain if u asked me... And take their Value 68 starter pack... Unlimited speed and 3.5GB monthly quota plus free sms and voice calls some more.... This post has been edited by AjkR06: Jun 3 2011, 02:48 PM
