Hi! Need advise/ opinion about Kidzgrow programme. Any one send their child to this centre before? is it really helps?
We have a boy age 7, which we found him have problem in his academic; so we sent him to Kidzgrow to do an evaluation. Of cause, as expected, he really have quite a big areas which need improvement and special guidance... Kidzgrow's consultant actually recomanded 2 course for him, i.e Revamp and Fast forward. These will take about 3 mths to complete.
The problem is, the centre only open Mon-Fri, 9-6p.m and both me and my husband got to work... we have time management and transportation problem. &, of course, the fees is very expensive, each session needs about RM80-100, which will come to about RM7k! Ok, anyway, for the benefit of our loves one, we don't mind paying, if it's really helps...
So, we would be much appreciate of your input/ opinion or any comment, whether this is really worth it, so that i could make decision whether to talk to the management to grant me 3 months half day unpaid leave .... (not sure whether can also... ), really got to sacrify ho... no choice....
Thank you.

i did considered sending my son there previously. But changed mind due to the fee being so high. However, from what I heard, their program is quite good. They mostly uses computer to teach the kids and most of the time kids are interested in them.
What exactly is the problem with your child? If it's just normal academic problems then just get a normal tuition teacher. With that kind of price, you should have no problem getting an in-house tuition teacher.
If it's problems related to mental development like ADHD, asperger's and other mild autism then it's different case.

abubin, thanks for your respond... my son has this leaning difficulty problem. although not really very serious, but it enof to affect his study and always get scolded from the teachers who doesn't know about the real problem (thought he's stupid)... in fact child with LD is not stupid, their IQ can be higher than normal child, it's just their brain (some where) not develope as usual and need to re-wire... you child have this problem as well? That's why am considering seriously whether to sacrify my pay... as it's quite a lot... Need more advise especially whoever tried them before.. thanks.

LD is just a general term. What is the specified difficulties type your child is facing?
You have to know specified type then only you apply help on your child for those types.
I have tried a few methods including sending him to professional psychologist, physical exercise, and currently he goes to NASOM (national autism society of malaysia). He is given coaching on mainly communications as kids with asperger's syndrome have problem with communications and socializing.
Parents also play very important roles to enforce the coaching at all times. There are no shortcut to this. My son is 7 years old right now.
