A-Station DotA Tournament Season 3 - Final Summary

We have organize the DotA tournament since year 2009
First DotA event Prize only RM500.00 and we successfully get 31 teams from Local Perak and some of them from Pinang and KL.
Noting much helpers, noting much experiences, and "Just Do It" see how far we can do it.

Season 2 is was a night mare, some of the main issues make the tournament complain by players, but we still continue to do that and apologize with them hope next time season 3 they still come back~ and beside we also found that our main reason is "management" problems, as a PIC in for 3 season DotA tournament I'm sad and start asking my self should i continue next year~?

Yes, starting Year 2011 Feb-March, my boss told me to organize the 3rd season DotA tournament and I tell them give me some time to analyse should we start the tournament for "WAR III" - DotA Tournament? Because, some of the players change to HON and LOL, DotA players dramatically drop since HON & LOL release.

In End or March I find previous organizer known as "Avatar" and some of the senior organizer what is the opinion about the coming Season 3 DotA tounament. and he told us that their Graduated on May so possible they may come back visit us at that day, and pass the organizer post to Victor Voo and Yin, lastly we find one more organizer Kang to join us to Organizer.

In April we starting release the DotA tournament season 3 - Pre-Registration.

In end of May, the team that we have only 5 team include our 2 home teams,
some more 2 others DotA tournament'date that organize by other cyber is very close to us. One more time i ask us should I postpone to next few month?
should i disappointed them ? (at the time only 9teams 4team reserved and not sure come or not) or should i do the same action like season 2 decrease the prize?

So, many problems occur in my mind, and keep non-stop find team in Lowyat, Friend and other place, finding sponsor is the most difficult job for me and my organizer team. so we hope beside the prize that we still can provide some extra things for the participant, so their wouldn't feel just a normal tournament, I Wish to let them feel like a "Big Family", Players and Organizer Interaction is the main objective for us.

The view still not very good until, 26 June 2011 (around 15-16 Teams is the best that we can get) still lack of 15+ teams to made it~ , and some of them told us that now a day if got 15++ teams participant in dota tournament is consider enough event in other place also very hard to get 32teams.

At the End of June, we successufully get 41 teams included all reserved, we feel very happy at that time, but onece we give the phone call to them and make confirmation, 41 teams decrease to 25 teams. Onece problems occur, and we scare at when at that day the team will decrease to 18 teams.

Thanks god, that at the day before tournament 1 July 2011 we get 32 teams and 1 backup team for next day tournament, and at the day 2July2011 we get 2 team absent and 2 teams register in different name (mean Team A register as "Golila Team" and also "Alikaka Team") and the total team for that day is 29 teams (not so bad and not so good still continue to start our tournament)


Some of the Amazing things that I want to telling yours..
1. Total Team no that participate (already told the long long story at above)
2. Organization Team Performance
*Yes, not so good and not so best, even though I'm also not very good.
but thanks all of them to helping us, as a incentive only a breakfast, some high-tea,
a t-shirt and a dinner.
IMPORTANT things is they able to help us to finish the tournament until the last sec...

3. Photo section
Season 1 that we have a "1/2 Big Family" picture
Season 2 we have nothing
Season 3, Yes we have a "Very Yeah" " Big Family" Pictures to let all the participant
take home and keep as memories.
4. 2nd and 3rd prize.
Hoho... this is un-suspected achievement done by our "2 Home Team"
It maybe that cause by "Luck" or cause by "Ability", because before the event start
I personally ask them "Got chances to get no1 or 2"?
the 2 home team and organizer reply me the same answer no 4 or no 5 also
very hard to achive. but now...
5. Sino Team
Yes thanks "Sino" team to help us to (training)
We hope next time we have chance to meet you again~
6. Hardware, software & Network problems.
* This time event lucky don't have major issues, ie. PC DC, Hardware failure and so on
*Here A-Station thanks all the "A-Station Members" who always report me when the
PC got problems, even though the "tiny issues" making the things make perfect.
but yet still have many major problems haven't settle (@@" )
