hye, i might getting an insight or prius soon. still under decision. i like insight because of the small CC = less roadtax price and fuel, coz currently i own a 2.0 ltr car, so i need something smaller for commute to my office every day.

I have one question, is the spring and absorber is the same as honda city? do you guys know what available aftermarket sport spring or adjustable for insight in Malaysia currently? because what the first thing i might do is to change the spring or adjustable to fit new bigger rim size. (ya i know bout fc and comfortability when using bigger rim)

why don't they compare Vios 1.5 vs Civic 2.0? both also different 500cc and 40k?  
assume prius 30km/L, insight 20km/L
with 40k different... I can use it for insight petrol and it might achieve (40000/1.90) x 20km = 421052km trip...

this is the oldest hybrid technology which means the chances it will be replaced will be high?

if let's say i'm planning to use this car for 5-7 years.....not that i don't like it but there's always room for improvement right, what do you think the second hand cars market response will be?

Honda CRZ with 1.5L IMA Hybrid engine can be tuned to 200 horsy, I guess our Insight 1.3L IMA Hybrid engine probably can tune to 160-180 horsy. Who agree with me?

My heart is telling me to go for the White as confirm can get it by this month ... the silver no guarantee ... maybe end of July or August.

Any of u guys having a disgusting sound "Tok" when release the brake padel, really unacceptable. Is that any problem with my brake pedal? This can be fixed at any sc?

If during car inspection, you noticed this scratch on the fender and it cant be polish out, will you still take the car?

SA confirmed battery will arrive this thursday..Friday change/install it.. then submit e-hak milik, inspection and tinted.. probably can get my car next Tuesday...  keep delay..

Bros, going to share w/you a very "painful" story - of what happened to my HID kit. Basically, my mechanic didn't install the HIDs properly, one HID bulb popped out of the housing. The heat from the bulb was so damn hot, it melted the aluminium projector housing.

I found out halfway driving, when I noticed my left side main beam started flickering, and smoke coming from my engine area (O-o)....

burnt-out housing... 1 day after the light burned out, I could still smell smoke in my cabin area...

there was only 1 thing to do: disasemble the housing. so my mechanic ripped out the left light panel from its socket, and slowly pry open the plastic clear case from the lamp housing (like opening durian)...

u can still see bits & pieces of the HID bulb filament + glass left in there... melted like cheese with the housing....

projector lamp focusing lens... in the background is my IN2 baby on "life support" while we operate on her...

at this point, 99% people would think their housing is f**ked, and have to spend RMXXXX to buy new one. but my mechanic is one smart fella - he manage to replace just the projector lamp housing that melted, with another HID lamp housing (taken from an old Merc). then he basically hot-wire them together....

u can see the right side is the original lamp H11 housing (sawed off the burnt part), then weld in the new HID lamp housing (from old Merc). install a make-shift mounting bracket to hold then both together (piece of metal in the middle). Taadaaa!

After put it back together, ensure all tightly fitted in, and turn on engine - whaddaya know, works like normal. actually, my light now is damn bright... brighter than before (i think it's coz the Merc HID housing is a proper solid steel housing with a proper focusing cup meant for HID lights).

Going to test this out for awhile and see if any problems (so far no issues).

So that's my story for today - heart a bit pain to see my beloved undergone 5-hr "open heart" surgery @ mechanic's "ICU"... but so far, patient 100% recovered 

Leave it as it is if you didn't mod anything to do with electrical, especially the Audio system.
