I had the same situation and same outlet too. Not sure the same agent.

The explanation was that the car has already "pre-booked" that tint, which I guessed should be either huper optic or cipalak speedy cool. So this pre-booked tint cannot be cancelled although tinting hasn't been done. Funny.
*
Actually speedy cool is not a tint brand, but it's one of authorized dealer for huper optik tint. More info @ smartwindow.com.my. Although I admit it's silly to have the logo of the tint dealer name instead of huper optik whacked right at the rear window. Where did u get ur ride from? Actmar?

i took off with "s" but "ECO" was on today 7pm@kota damansara heading back SS23.results were astonishing...felt like some monster was pulling me forward....
*
Did a couple of times on 'S' mode without ECO on NKVE, its just gets better. Occasionally drive like normal, but sometimes wana show power a bit, haha...cos feel bored travelling such a long distance on highway. Smoke a couple cars before, just couldnt resist the 'force' of 'S'. I had my ride ramped up to 6k rpm, already at the red borderline...scary yo! Anyone go beyond the borderline?
Did accelerate also from standstill (with 'S' and ECO off), can feel the whole engine wants to shoot like rocket, but hold-up kind of feel, its like beng 'bottlenecked' by the car itself...

QUOTE(jacek @ Jun 17 2011, 09:45 PM)
partly true.
but mostly is due to tax exemption n it is cbu.
worth every penny

Now in Actmar service center for 5k. Reach here @ 7.45am, learn a lesson from previous visit. I'm the 16th customer, lol. Apparently no appointments during saturday, which sucks. Let's c how long I'm gonna wait.

The whole process took 2 n half hours, okla not bad. The maintenance includes change of semi syn oil n washer drain. Insist wheel alignment n balancing check which cost around RM44.

My bro-in-law had his cvt gear changed as well (2nd previous gen city). I rev the engine hard only when in 's'...u could feel much more responsive n smooth, no dragging whatsoever, contrary when u rev at 'd'. Its like the cvt is straining. That's y we have that 'L' gear for slopes. But then again, gotta remind myself of the vulnerability of cvt gearboxes.

One more thing to note, when I was in stage 2, the light blue zone seems longer. Which means in normal driving condition, i usually stay around light blue & green zone.
After a couple of revs n moving on to stage 3, I notice that the light blue zone seems very short. A normal pick-up from standstill will have the zone change from green to light blue, then instantly to dark blue. Normally I hardly move into the dark blue zone under light acceleration.
Is the ecu so smart to recognize that i occasionally accelerate that they adjust the gear ratios, or this kind of condition is apparent during stage 3?

Guys, u can make a appointment to come see whether our parts color match urs car or not...if the color not match , don't buy..

Where is ur shop again? Address? How about the location of the factory where the kits are being molded? If it's convenient, then we might organize a gathering or someone can go take a look at the ready kits.

Ooo. Saw an insight this morning with Zeus replica bodykit on LDP near one utama interchange with plate WVA 1*23. I suppose that ride belongs to groovy bro? Looks mean & menacing from far dude!

You may consider this... I did Sierra GLow coating last Saturday and met 1 of the Black insight bro from here. My car body is so smooth and shine now.. biggrin.gif

Highly recommended, it's the minimal protection you could think of for your insights & the price is reasonable, comes with 5 yrs warranty. I think it should be the first thing to do once you received ur cars. Some ppl will wait 1-2 months to let the paint layer 'settle down' 1st.

Don't be like me. A couple of months only go apply glass coating, but it's too late dy. I'm traveling long distance everyday, so the possibility of stone/pebbles hitting the body of my car is higher. Spotted few small chips on the bonnet.... 1-2 tiny chips as well on the headlights. I'm living close to the sea also, so a tiny chip will eventually lead to faster rusting few yrs down the road.

Guys..... just did my DRL...(Daytime Running Lights)
hehe... quite satisfied with it... coz its in the most desired location...

which is just below the signal lights... just like the other branded cars.. smile.gif
*
Cool looking drl! I have to agree it fitted nicely at the best possible location. Mind to share the contact of the shop?

As for the foaming, I intend to do as well. Still under consideration. Which package did u took and how much? Any significance diff in terms of NVH?

I dunno bout u guys but I had a 'major problem' with the wing mirror. It's sticking out so long that motorcycle keep hitting on it or cars that stick so close when cutting lane knock in it. Wtf!! Got hit at the wing mirror 3 times this week!!

I don't know how long my wing mirror will last...

*
Haha, of cos nola. 2 incidents the motorcyclist snake in n out during traffic jam. Another one is when 3 lanes -> 2 lanes, the bloody driver force himself thru into my lane, wtf. Both car also scratched, me rugi.

Ya this is the part I don't like. Especially at low speed.  rclxub.gif
Pls report back after ECU reset.

Complained about this during my 1000km service, but SA says it's like that wan. Ask me pump less air into the tyre
*
Cabalerro and idoblu, mind to share the seriousness of the jerk in ur cars? Diff ppl might have diff view on the jerk during driving, unless we actually experience them by sitting in ur car. As for mine, I did occasionally experience the 'jerky' problem, but a mild one, something that i can ignore on daily drive basis. My kind of jerk is at low speed, transition between 18-19 km/h to 20-21km/h

I find that the 'jerk feel' is worse with ECO off, compared to ECO on.

If gov plans to abolish the tax exemption, which means our national carmaker is ready to roll out their hybrid fleets?
I doubt any insight owners will know or care whether the tax exemption is lifted next year, hehe. The better channel is asking around inside proton management or any1 works inside the land n transport ministry.
Good news, we got best bargain in town, cbu some more.
Bad news, u won't see new insight on the road anymore. Less cars, which means higher spare part costs for insight owners. Burden in the long run.

My fren's civic hybrid was one of the 1st batch. So far no problem with IMA. Drive like normal, with hard throttle. Heck his hybrid involved in major accident, hit mid divider n spin 360 at elite highway last year. Total repair cost is 30k. Took 3 months to get his car back due to parts unavailability.
I think the writer's case is more of a isolated one.

QUOTE(jacek @ Jul 29 2011, 09:49 AM)
that's what i thought as well.
most probably when he engaged from D to R, he stepped on the brake and the auto stop kick in.
that is when the RPM dropped to '0' and wnet back up when he release the brake after he engaged to R gear.
*

during cold position, autostop won't kick in. So there's no way the transition will happen.

i got mine from shorty.. much cheaper than this price. lol i got almost all of my lightings/wiring things done by shorty. he covers my warranty tongue.gif
oh erm i was able to get 22++. at final leaf stage i changed rim and then it's 19++. now scouting around for 17" lightweight rims with low budget, hard to find sad.gif
*
Kensim, u changed ur tyre? What profile r u using now? It's difficult to scout for exact profiles, even 195/55/16 and 205/50/16 (which is the closest tyre profile we can select)
prefer to have 55 thk sidewall for comfort. Any good brands that comes with the mentioned profiles?

Lol, icechiller bro, turbo kit? Man, r u serious? If I were to turbocharged an insight, I would rather pick 308t or wait for the crz (god knows when it's going to reach here) and attach a turbo kit. Now that would b a killer.

for those who do highway driving, does the insight feel floaty at higher speeds?

Added on August 18, 2011, 9:01 am
and how many speakers are there in the car? 2 tweeters & 4 mids?
*
They are definitely floaty at 150km/h, but not as bad as vios frankly speaking. The floaty feel is contributed by low cd, in which the coefficient is very apparent at high speeds. It is noticeable, but not serious, all thanks to its improved suspension.
Ways to stabilize the car are using wider profile tyre, and lowering the cg of the car (maybe lowering profile of the ride or installing bodykit which improves air flow undercarriage, like mugen bk, hehe)

4 mids. Even Honda Malaysia were to provide tweeters, I doubt u can live with them forever. The quality of the mids r nothing to shout about. I suggest u to change all speakers. Having said that, at least the sound system is better than the stock ford fiesta. It's a pain in the ears, lol. Never had I heard such shit speakers from a stock car. No offense.
