Use it to host assignment?
I use it to send homework between my work laptop and home PC. Thumb drives can harbor viruses especially since I have to plug in thumb drives from colleagues and clients into my work laptop and I don't know what else they have done with their thumb drive. This is safer. Now that option is gone. This post has been edited by RAMChYLD: Jun 17 2011, 12:53 PM |

This just came in through FB:
DiGi Telecommunications (2 minutes ago) Hi all, our DiGi webpage is accessible to those who are using a DiGi Internet plan on any devices. Unfortunately for the time being our website is inaccessible to those surfing on other networks (such as TMNET, Maxis Broadband, etc). Service restoration is in progress and we apologise for the inconvenience caused. Service is expected to resume within 24 hours. Check the latest status on DiGi Facebook. Goddamn you SKMM. Now cannot connect to Steam, cannot get TF2 free promo copy. All because Steam uses BT protocol.
I will not pay money for Orange Box, especially when the company is giving away the goddamn game for free. In fact, buy Orange Box also no use, game will fail to patch update and I'll be stuck with a game full of bugs that cannot connect to multiplayer server at all because too outdated. Want people to buy ori. f**k la. Buy ori also cannot play due to the stupidity. This post has been edited by RAMChYLD: Jun 24 2011, 07:29 PM |

QUOTE(fireice @ Jun 24 2011, 09:18 PM) Here's a list of the banned websites. Looks like ISP is just using simple DNS poisoning at this stage. I don't think it's simple DNS poisoning. Because it's confirmed that downloading from these sites plus anything that's using the BT protocol including legal apps like Steam has slowed to unusability since the blocking started, especially over UniFi. I really cannot see the point in having a fast connection when even legal uses like Steam is throttled just because it uses the BT protocol and P2P transfer instead of the more standard but more expensive server hosted approach.![]() This post has been edited by RAMChYLD: Jun 25 2011, 01:35 PM |
