I've been using TOR + Privoxy or Polipo on my Linux/BSD systems for quite a long time. It's the mutt's nuts in terms of freedom and privacy!! None of the drawbacks associated with ultrasurf and other similar wannabe-apps.

The TOR setup shown in that video isn't really the full-on TOR experince, tbh. There's a tad more setup work that needs to be done to unleash its potential.

And what VPN might that be and how much do I need to pay monthly?
I'm currently considering a VPN provider. BolehVPN seems decent, though I'm always a tad suspicious of companies with
"Boleh" or "MY" in their names.

Do let me know about yours. I'll consider at as long as it does what I need (zero censorship, free to download/stream anything at full speed all the time)

Not just Sabah. Malaysia is full of unexposed/undereducated people with no internet. A lot of people in smaller towns remain unexposed to the news that goes around the internet sites (especially the old, which still make up a decent chunk of the population). The corrupt ruling coalition has depended on these uninformed folk for years, which is why they intentionally underdevelop certain parts of the country, screw-up the school system and continue having stupid "ceremahs" where they encourage these uninformed people to f*ck as much as possible home in order to give birth to more uninformed future generations. The old mamak pukimak PM practiced this for decades, carefully "re-allocating" pockets of these uninformed people all over the country, ensuring votes for his corrupt self.

Seriously, this country first need to remove the race/bangsa part from our IC/s Passports, legal documents before it can even think of moving forward.

We're doomed either way.
