Hi, I just ordered a new N8 to replace my ageing N82.
Is it recommended to use some kind of screen protector and casing for the N8?

QUOTE(Optiplex330 @ Jun 30 2011, 11:51 AM) So did you sell your N82 and for how much? havent sold my n82 and probably wont. I just finished peeling off the protective plastic coating i used when i 1st bought it and it looks almost brand new!I like casings/screens as i can remove them later on and get that brand new look even after using the phone for a year or two. i have a habit of putting my phone in my pants side pocket with my car keys so some protection is needed. If not and if it's not worth much money, then it just prove my point and that is, I never bother with casing and screen protection because those things just get in the way of enjoyment. So may as well make the most out of it. Of course, if you intend to resell your phone after 6 months or so, then better give it some protection. My 2 sen. N8 supposed to have an unscratchable screen but i kind of doubt it. This post has been edited by todak: Jun 30 2011, 01:34 PM |

QUOTE(andrekua @ Jul 3 2011, 01:58 PM) Go download and install Qt 4.73 and Qt mobility 1.12/1.13 first then try update again. Thanks andrekua. Being an absolute phone noob, I had to read up on these terms to try to understand them followed by hours of googling and then trial and error.Nokia too dumb to realize their work-on-all-platform Qt is causing unnecessary problem for user. Worse is that the software update won't check update for Qt at all despite being an important element in the new S^3. Finally, managed to get in ovi store by using 4.6.3 from here --> http://www.swf2go.com/downloads/qt/ a dl page from this posting --> http://www.orison.biz/blogs/chall3ng3r/?p=...#comment-161517 The 4.7.3 did not work for me, go figure. |

QUOTE(Optiplex330 @ Aug 11 2011, 09:46 AM) These make the N8 too bulky. I was thinking of something like this instead: bulky? its less "bulky" than the Otterbox casing on my N8. The idea is to insert your fon inside it all the time when you dont have access to a charger. its pretty good looking i have to say, tailor made for the n8.http://www.eneloop.info/products/mobile-booster/kbc-e1s.html |
