I hv used & tested few models of Nokia ranging from N95, N78, N79, N82, N86, N97, 5800. And N8 is the best & most stable among all smile.gif

Ehh I think it mentioned during the announcement that ovimaps wil be part of WP7 liao lor..

Anyway, I still think, Nokia should go for Android instead of WP7. More free app & games + smooth scrolling experience...haha..

QUOTE(nicholasbeh @ Jul 1 2011, 12:44 AM)
its actually stupid decision.symbian actually still can sell in big amount for mid range/low end.he kill symbian=kill nokia.nobody willing to buy symbian coz his decision to not support symbian anymore.unless nokia modify wp7 ui. i and most of the user wont buy nokia wp7.for what?diff in ovi maps?lol.

No need SGA even the slower 600mhz Sony Xperia X10 mini or X8 or W8 UI & scrolling already so good liao biggrin.gif ...I got both Xperia for my waifu & dotter biggrin.gif

If only those Androids having similar N8 camera quality, and connectivities + Garmin & ovimaps thigies, I already long time ago jump ship liao biggrin.gif
QUOTE(moniqee @ Jul 1 2011, 11:36 AM)
wow if nokia go for android.. i might go for it... =D now playing with SGA really enjoyed the android UI alot... although abit dismay at the battery life of SGA...

N82 still superior wth the hi8gh intensity flash. N8 flash abit weak in comparison and also the fact that N8 do not perform well under dark environment
QUOTE(luckyhillkop @ Jul 4 2011, 07:18 PM)
I agree with u andy, n that's kind of my point actually. I'm sure the best of N8 pixs will beat the best of N82 pixs hands down. However it's easier for me to get better pictures using N82, point and shoot. I guess with easier to press camera button plus N82 being thicker contribute to this.
However like closeup shots N8 is it, no contest.

Also depending on that area whether signal block by lotsa trees, high buidings & etc..

GPS needs huge open space and if you're under the shed, under a tree or beside a highrises..you will face difficuties of getting signal for sure

No need Hong Kong. I remembered during the Windows Mobile aged in Mid 2000, I was testing GPS set at LYP -PDA expert shop. We wnet outside wth the PDA on hand & tested the signal..waited for >20min & while chit-chating still onoly can see few signal- we decided to stop waiting beh tahan liao haha.. biggrin.gif
QUOTE(alexlimco @ Jul 7 2011, 01:05 PM)
I was in HK once and switched off AGPS. Could not get a lock even after standing half hour outside in the freezing weather. Could be due to all the tall buildings around me blocking the signal.

Yeah I knew only too long forgotten liao lor.. blush.gif so for simplicity just said windows mobile lor which is common till WP7 out mah..haha..My 1st PPC without phone line was a Toshiba dunno what model way back ~ 2001. That time, suprisingly there already a reasonable detail GPS maps of KL dy (Sigh can't remember wthat app liao doh.gif )...I remembered showing to a lost Japanese of the GPS maps without GPS haha (Unless I paired it wth a Ext CF GPS that will cost me a bomb that time!)..and that Japanese so impressed... Than the start of my 1st GPS PPC 2003 - An HP6505 or something & my 1st wth malsingmaps way back 2005/2006. That time I was so dissapointed when I 1st see Puchong maps so many empty spaces in malsingmaps...I took the challenge & within 3-6 mths I covered all those empty spaces in puchong from Puteri, Kinrara, those Kampungs & etc... rclxm9.gif

Well, nowadays so many mappers for this area liao & I can actually retire from tracking & contributing to mappers of malfreemaps liao haha biggrin.gif

Opss abit OT..thereafter from PPC2003, I moved to Winmo 5 (I think wth super expensive ASUS 520) that cost me >RM2300 ~ 2007...By then, I hated Winmo & switch back to Symbian after I found out the availablity of Garmin for Nokia.. rclxms.gif & faster than winmo rclxms.gif

So By Nokia going back to WP7...is like for me going back to the era of pocket PC liao haha..anyway..probably good also as I strongly believe, Garmin can run in WP7 too and the Garmin MXT verison for Winmo do not have the 2 stupid bugs...Too bad the last Garmin MXT for Winmo is V2 & not V5 for Symbian sad.gif

QUOTE(Andy214 @ Jul 7 2011, 10:05 PM)
2000 I think still don't have Windows Mobile yet, in the early years, it's Pocket PC era, the early windows smartphone is running Pocket PC 2002, then comes Windows Mobile 2003, etc.
Talk about PDA, last time use to have debate between PDA (Palm) vs Pocket PC, LoL...
