i do like window phone, in fact I bought one (Optimus 7). However the phone do not have the function that I wanted.

1) MS Exchange (email, calendar, contacts)
2) GPS/Maps
3) Camera
4) Storage (on phone)

After struggling with it for two weeks, I donate the phone to wifey who is very happy with it.

window phone has excellent interface, fast browser, socially able (facebook etc). But as of now it is not a smart phone yet.

the quickoffice with N8 you can edit/save and create. Full version.

yes the level of integration differs from one phone to another. Thats make it more difficult to use the dark side. Unlike Nokia where ovi identity do not tie to anything.

My 1st foray to 'smart' devices was Zire71.

after upgrade to 3.08 you need to delete two folder lock map and lock cities. then you can download the map again. happen to me also; full solution at nokia beta labs.

I don't like 3.08, maps are too small since they make button bigger. Map now become separate application, drive, walk, maps etc.

Have very interesting new application 'map reporter' where user can update map, so with thousands of nokia phones then the maps should be much better updated.

I got notification to update from ovi store to Ovi map 3.6.688 whilst I have 3.08 beta. do i update or not?

you can always get signed version for dark side material - google.

anyway i found the white side alternative twimgo (just as good) for twitter and the new fmobi is excellent for facebook.

From reports of ppl installing the leaked Anna there seem to be some bugs here and there.

The best free alternative currently is TwimGo, using it currently. A step to the lighter side (now darkside Gravity has been put in cold storage)

mine stuck at PR 1.1, due to the serial number. when my serial about to be released they stop releasing PR1.2 to work on Anna (europe nokia discussion).

So now i look at belle with worry, if the same system being used then by november when my turn for update come, they will stop releasing it to wait for belle.
