Trying Superboot but after copying my original & deleted it, it refuse to let me copy the new boot.img? It says error 1392, the file or directory is corrupted or unreadable. Is my phone "brick"?

QUOTE(piumiu @ Jun 14 2011, 12:01 AM) Installation step for Custom ROM.
Reboot back in Clockwork recovery. 4. Apply update from sdcard. It wil state the update.zip file found. Press power button for enter. Wait until it complete (there is a progress report). 5. Reboot to system. First boot will be slow as it rebuilds the dalvik cache so be patient, successive boots will be back to normal. <<<How slow>>> 6. To ensure you are in the new ROM. There is a poweruser icon and its running launcher pro.
After following your steps, the IDEOS sign has been running for almost 10 minutes!

My touch screen went dead last week & today went to the service center & they do a replacement for me immediately but problem is where to get a good SP? Now my screen is naked.BTW, was told there's 4 types of SP, when I chat with some chinese suppliers:
Clear: high transparency, anti-scratch Matt: anti-glare, anti-reflect Mirror: when lcd off, you can use it as a mirror, it's mirror finish Privacy: prevent others from viewing the info from the screen

QUOTE(ShengHow @ Jul 4 2011, 07:01 PM) same to me zzz but puimui told me before if anything happens u can try to " act idiot " to the phone seller pretend as dont know wth why the memory is 1GB+ No need to act "'idiot". The authorised repair center I went to did not bother whether you root or not. When they does a repair they get paid by Huawei.

QUOTE(shadow111 @ Jul 5 2011, 09:20 AM) i thought those authorised repair center are huawei center... If you were to go there, you'll not dare to buy another huawei! But to me I understand their business model so it's ok. The repair center have no signboard whatsoever & you actually see the guy repairing your phone not like those big service center like Samsung/Nokia etc.

QUOTE(azimlatip @ Jul 17 2011, 10:51 PM) You can keep them by not selecting "Wipe data" in CWM. But, to ensure best performance, it's better to wipe it all and install it fresh I think you can use Titanium Backup to backup all your apps etc. Not quite sure how to use it though, cause I usually just install the ROM fresh.. So, no chance of using Titanium Backup etc. For Titanium to backup everything just go to schedule & select backup all new apps & newer versions, then RUN.
