[quote=kwasky,May 30 2011, 12:49 AM]Hey guys, I'm just starting out with summer and I'm already bored as hell. I decided to try out what seems to be the coolest console around: Nintendo DS. Anyways I had a Gameboy Color back when I was 8. Skipped GBA for no reason but now I wanna jump into NDS. So:
1) What's the cheapest? There's NDSLite, NDSi, NDSiXL, N3DS. Mind-boggling. But what's value for money?

NDSL = NDSi = NDSiXL = SAME GENERATION CONSOLE
the differences between the 3 are
-NDSi and NDSiXL built in with camera, capable of playing DSi Ware, enable the use of DSi features on the enhanced game or play DSi only games.... whereas such features are not available for NDSL. cut my crap short....
-on the other hand NDSL has a slot 2 which allows you to play GBA games.....
-NDSi and NDSiXL basically is the same thing but NDSiXL got a larger screen....
if me? i would just get NDSi or NDSiXL unless you have budget constrain...
---------
N3DS or 3DS is another GENERATION but it supports DS games
in other words, you can play DS games on 3DS but you can't play 3DS games on DS
if you have the spare cash to spend, i would say go for this one.....
some shops on LYN is selling a brand new set + 1 game with a RM 900 price tag
2) Where in KL can I find an authorised seller. Now I've been tricked before and don't want this to happen again. Any tips for determining the 'originality' of an NDS if I bought it in Lowyat or some small gamestore?

for me, i always survey a few online stores before i pull the trigger. I would say most of the shops on LYN is quite creditable. I had deal with 4-5 different sellers and none had actually failed me

As far as i know there are refurbished NDSL... is a little hard for me to explain how to identify
however, the best is get it from a creditable seller over here
3) What's the best games you guys can recommend. I don't want to play all summer long so just list me what you think is best and the game that appears most is the one.. I guess

4) Technical details? Can NDS go into a comp? Battery life? Battery change? CD/Cartridge?

I have no idea what you mean NDS go into a comp? You mean USB? No then...
Battery life DS can easily last me 5-8 hours
3DS can last me like 4-5 hours
they are all catridge

By the way, 3DS is region lock
it means you can't play Japanese games on US/EU consoles and vice versa.
This is not the case for DSL/DSi/DSiXL
