2. Check if casing been changed
3. Suggest you register your imei on the spot. If the message prompt you that this imei number has been registered. Then you know what you are getting. Give it back to the seller or file a case at the tribunal

Iphone also. When the iphone 4 launched,some dealers were selling 'New Old stocks' iphone 3. What makes you think the hot selling iphone 3 still has remaining New Old stocks?
