Hey all, I'm a bit noob when it comes to the anti virus thing so I was hoping someone could give me a suggestion. I am planning to get Kaspersky Internet Security soon and I was wondering if it would be a wise idea to get some other additional stuff like Malwarebytes or would the I/S suite be sufficient enough? My concern is that it might slow down my PC

Kaspersky or any other AV/IS is Real-time scanner...
Anti Malware (Malwarebytes for example) is On Demand scanner...only run upon request. hmm.gif

running IS alone is sufficient, and I'd suggest that you get another IS instead of kaspersky, it's known to slow down the system a lot...

See my reply here. You can even use kaspersky for free.

It is advisable to use Kaspersky with Malwarebytes.

Kaspersky is resource hogging, known.
If you are aware of this problem, then get lighter Internet Security, like ESET (~Consumes 50MB of RAM only).
