yup. cement for sure will not be able to do the job. divine light's technique is the best so far.. from my exp, use a rod, either brass rod or something like that, then use A B epoxy glue.. would work. good enuff for my qubeley.

the article/ post has one good point. there is a need to grow your fanbase, and i guess that is what gundam AGE is doing, trying to reach out to newer 'markets'

apa tu zippo? lighter? got refill pack one ah? lol, paiseh, newb here~
*
well, its not too hard to google what zippo is now is it? i think there's just a line between asking for help on a forum, and being too lazy to do a quick google search to find out more. heck, you can even find a zippo thread on lyn! newb or not, not an excuse

ok, apologies for being too harsh earlier.

let's see..
-NO, don't ever dip anything into industrial thinner. it WILL melt your plastic
-NO, zippo fluid doesn't damage your gunpla, unless its is ABS plastic. just don't soak your ABS in zippo fluid and you'll be fine
-best thing to use it hobby thinner. smallest bottle will cost you about 7 dollars. about the same prices as zippo fluid.
-personally am not too sure about using drinking alco like beer or whisky to remove paint. seems more expensive eh? wink.gif

where can you find hobby thinner? mgs2u.com, BTS, or ICW will carry some.

and as myky said, ask this in modelling thread next time wo.. later ppl shoot us for OT

-Tried on industrial thinner, and it corrodes. -.-
-ABS plastic is the pvc plastic / joints plastic?

OT = over thread? next time i will ask at modelling thread, thx for reminding.
*
OT = off topic

industrial thinner does corrode. that's why there's such a thing as modelling thinner.

ABS plastic.. you can normally tell if it is abs from the runner. near where the runner letter is, will also indicate what type of plastic is used.

It's fir kids. Not exactly meant for 'old kids' like us lo. Still, would love the other soon to be announced series to be berto-something children adaptation... Hi-nu vs nightingale!!! Mebbe then bandai would get some balls and complete that prototype!
*
well, i think the best we will get of nightingale will be a hguc la.. and that would be priced north of 4500 yen. as for a MG nightingale, as long as there is no MG kshatryia, there won't be a MG nightingale either.

also, if they keep producing UC kits, eventually will run out, then people will ramble.. keep recycling kits, bandai suck money. either way, no win for bandai..

not a bad effort at all! altho the z'gok is a underwater kit, so weathering it with a reddish brown color to emulate rust might have been a better option. but goood attempt nonetheless!

agito: nice that you are liking the silvery bits, but be careful.. too much silver and the kit might end up looking very tacky =X RG looking very good tho! thumbup.gif

*Added it to the GunPla Tutorial thread.  wink.gif

i'm gonna disagree with the tutorials. i think setter is only optional if your decals don't adhere properly. the more important one is mr mark softener.. if you had more cash to spare, get THAT instead

He never mentioned Mr. Mark Setter being compulsory, shauno.
The non-porous surface of plastic makes the default glue on the decals not sticky enough. If you've painted it, it should be sticky enough. Otherwise, with Mr Mark Setter, it would definitely stick better. Mr Mark Softener is much more useful when applying decals on uneven or curved surfaces.

neither did i say anything was compulsory.. my point is if you have more cash, it would be better to get softener than setter.. but this isn't the place to debate over this. best compromise is to use both biggrin.gif
