“I’m Captain Of Manchester United – Why Would I Leave?”QUOTE This time last year, it seemed almost inevitable that Nemanja Vidic was going to leave Manchester United. Whilst the player had repeatedly claimed he was going to see out his contract, his agent seemed less certain.
However, out of the blue, Vidic went on to sign a new four year deal with the club and was named captain for the 2010-2011 season.
Silvano Martina has today reaffirmed Vidic’s commitment to the club, revealing a conversation he had with him over the possibility of moving elsewhere.
“Vidic is a player that everyone wants,” he told Radio Sportiva. “I talked to him about a hypothetical transfer and he said ‘I am the captain of Manchester United, I’ve won almost everything. ‘Why should I go to Italy right now that Italian football is going through such a turbulent moment?’. This response removes any doubt about his future – he stays where he is.” http://therepublikofmancunia.com/im-captai...-would-i-leave/My personal hero I"m a vidic fan boi

Actually Joe Hart has been really great despite his age. He was birmingham's key player and he has been fantastic for man city last season. He was also listed in the PFA team of the year(As GK of course). The two goals, obviously first one was rio's mistake and second one sort of blunder from hart. But if you compare him with the likes of Green, James and Robinson, I think he is much better. I don't know how are we going to adjust with abundant of youngsters like welbeck, macheda, cleverley, obertan, and if you want to add diouf(not young of course). I guess we will only know when next season starts. We have a really huge squad, and we shall see how SAF handles the team. This post has been edited by nshady: Jun 13 2011, 05:37 PM

Lindegaard looks very good too. He won both Norwegian Goalkeeper Of The Year (1): 2010 and Danish Goalkeeper Of The Year (1): 2010. Wow, he looks like one low profile player here, but if someone can win both at the same year, definitely there's something inside him. I'm just afraid if De Gea becomes number 1 in the team, some other team will come and snap him up!

Actually Madrid's strategy worked quite well against barca. If you have watched their game, they used 3 DMs to counter barca. Until when 1 person got red-carded, everything changed.

QUOTE(beck_ken @ Jun 13 2011, 08:51 PM) 14 app without a goal? May be sampdoria midfields are not creative enough to supply the ball or Serie A too technical for him? Welbeck having fine season at Sunderland while Meme had a decent season with Blackburn.. So he needs to play more but... I really don't know how SAF will fits the likes of Macheda, Welbeck and Meme cuz above them are Rooney, Chica, Owen and Berbatov. 6 of them.. One of them will battle hard to partner Rooney. It's rather a goal-drought for macheda. Cannot blame Sampdoria midfield wholly. Anyway, De Gea's experience is awesome despite only 21 years old. He has won the Euro Under-17 2007. Runners up for WC under 17 2007. Europa League Finals 09/10 UEFA super cup 2010 57 APPS in spanish la liga. He's got more to offer. This post has been edited by nshady: Jun 13 2011, 09:58 PM

yes it's official.. I wonder what's gonna happen to oliver gill.. United seal Jones dealQUOTE Phil Jones is set to become United's first signing of summer 2011 after the Reds successfully negotiated a transfer with his current club Blackburn Rovers.
A club statement published on Monday reads as follows:
"Manchester United is delighted to announce it has signed an agreement with Blackburn Rovers for the transfer of Phil Jones.
"The player passed a medical in Manchester last week and has agreed a 5-year contract. The deal will be completed once the player returns from international duty."
Jones, 19, came through the youth ranks at Blackburn before turning professional on 1 July 2009. He made his senior debut two months later, in a Carling Cup victory at Nottingham Forest, and went on to make a total of 40 appearances for Rovers.
The robust central defender, who can also play in midfield, has been capped seven times so far by England at Under-21 level. The latest appearance was in Denmark on Sunday, when he started alongside new club colleagues Tom Cleverley, Chris Smalling and Danny Welbeck in the 1-1 draw with Spain in the UEFA Under-21 Championships. http://www.manutd.com/en/News-And-Features...jones-deal.aspx

QUOTE(stevanistelrooy @ Jun 13 2011, 10:07 PM) Cannot blame Macheda entirely Samp sold their strike asset and Macheda was under pressure to shine like the player that they sold Yes, cannot blame both wholly. A good striker can score under any circumstances.
