Moi Fah menuntut supaya syarikat itu mengembalikan semula wangnya sebanyak RM5,350 kerana didakwa menjual televisyen LCD kepadanya, sedangkan dia mahu membeli televisyen LED.

Menurut Moi Fah, dia membeli televisyen tersebut pada Januari lalu dan mendapati ia bukan televisyen LED sebulan kemudiannya.

''Semasa berkumpul beramai-ramai sempena sambutan Tahun Baru Cina pada Februari lalu, anak saudara saya memberitahu bahawa televisyen itu bukan televisyen LED tetapi LCD 'kahwin' LED. Kes seperti ini banyak berlaku di Singapura.

''Saya juga dapati pada kad jaminan televisyen tersebut tertera LCD dan pemeriksaan pada laman web Toshiba tidak menjumpai sebarang produk televisyen LED,'' katanya.

Setelah mendengar penjelasan tersebut, Presiden TTPM, Maznah Haron memerintahkan supaya Kim Seen Electronic Trading yang diwakili oleh Tang Boh Leng mengambil semula televisyen itu dan mengembalikan RM4,235.42 kepada pihak yang menuntut.



I just thinks the buyer wanna return the TV coz not satisfied.

WTH is LCD Kahwin LED?
This is a case of blind leading another blind. When are people going to realize that the LED TV's on the market are all LED Backlit LCD TV's and not LED LED TV's.

funny, but doesnt stated the model. Then will know the truth, whether LED or LCD...

the so called LED TV is still a LCD TV, both using the same LCD technology

still LED LCD TV's PQ is better than LCD itself

LCD kahwin LED most likely mean LCD TV with LED backlight. True LED TV is like Plasma TV, but instead of plasma cells it use micro LED instead.

Most cheapo TV claiming to be LED are actually in fact this.

Correct, I think the buyer did the right thing! Should also file a case with Tribunal for misleading advertisement.

Its not fair to put the blame on consumers and as we all know consumer rights are very much lacking in Msia.

A buyer go to shop looking for a TV, the sales person, would just mention that hey this is a new technology LED TV, and its better than LCD TV. The impression to general buyer would be this is a LED TV which is not LCD, the older technology, as the sales person put it.

i really wish consumers would be proactive and bold in voicing out issues, rather than keeping quiet.

This LED TV term is misleading consumer, they should just put LED backlighting.

People should just wait for OLED TV then that's a true LED TV

They the manufacturer should market it as Slim LCD TV as the catch phrase. The shop guys only use the sales kit or any other marketing guidelines/ instructions from the manufacturers. Pity the shop owner need to attend the tribunal case. Using LED TV is quite misleading. When it came out in the market... I'm just WoW'ed.. Holy Cow... LED for those massive screen TV! But when I knew it just replacing the CCFL as the backlight... WTF.
