I found nothing special after root and flash f/w except able to run titanium backup and mybackup pro.

i d/l supercurio-3 and got a *.tar file. after untar, got the zimage file

To those that order online (eg from handtec), will it be any different than if we wait for SGSII to release in Malaysia and buy it locally?

There r alot of things that need 2 have a rooted phone to do ... For example , changing the batt icons , network , etc ..... Here is an example



All these require modifying the framework , SystemUI , etc ..... which can b only granted access if your phone is rooted

Just follow this guides, download everything in your PC and then it will only take 15 min to root and flash fw

Added on May 28, 2011, 2:05 amFirst, you root, then install titanium backup to backup all your apps and data.
Then you flash f/w, then do a factory reset. Then root again.
Finally restore all the apps and data with titanium backup.

Dont untar ..... Flash it like how u flash a KE7

dun extract... just flash it in .tar file..

All is run in PC.

you dont have to untar it bro, just flash the .tar using odin as pda.

What apps van change UI?

there are a lot in market...u need to download and test...if u satisfied keep it..if not download another one...

Wow, its making me in a difficult situation .. should i buy here (UK) or should i get it at Malaysia at end of June . I dun wan Tegra and Slcd =.=
