new user here, any idea how i can use my Whatsapp? i keyed in my phone number but it seems no indication that the watsapp is functioning....how do i know if it is working?
*
Had this similar problem with Whatsapp...

Solution :
1. Go to android market.
2. Option/Menu key>my apps
3. Scroll and select WhatsApp Mesenger > hit update

Once updated, try to use it once again.

Have a try. It works for me. icon_rolleyes.gif

BTW, I had internal memory full issue with my Arc..
It prompted internal memory full earlier this morning..
Cleared some cache file and moved a few more apps to SD..

Managed to dig 45Mb free on my internal right now..

Is it normal to have 40-30Mb free on internal..?

Tanak la root2 ni.. risau.. tongue.gif

u shud move all the apps tht are applicable to the sd..

cant help it as we hav low internal memory, so check every apps tht u installed either can b moved to the sd or not, n if can, move it..
*
Thanks for the advice..
Moved every software/apps that can be moved to the SD already..
Still with the 45Mb free space on internal..
I'll just bear with it lah until I've got the guts to root my Arc.. unsure.gif

yup, landscape only when via hdmi..

ive tried global generic n sweden rom, sweden tends to giv me more internal storage compared to generic global..

some few bugs that i encountered:

timescape widgets stated 'widgets already added' eventho i didnt add it yet.
some of the apps will fc suddenly, but no big deal.
*
Me downloading global generic right now..
On P1 line... doh.gif

Still downloading right now.. Stated 1 hour left to be finished..
Malam ni jugak la baru bleh install as I'm going out soon.. sweat.gif

Try Equalizer for better audio quality in your ears..
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.s...e=search_result

Free version cannot save custom preset, but it'll do the job in enhancing the sound..
Especially when a headset was plugged in.. thumbup.gif

One question.. Currently using Global Generic firmware..
If there were updates for this firmware (eg. 2.3.4), do I need to reflash it or I just can use SEUS bundled with my phone..? hmm.gif

both can..

if u use flashtool, u nid to wait for the ftf file provided by others..

if u on locked bootloader, u can use seus.. but it will b global generic as u r using global generic rom now..

unlocked bootloader cant b used with pc companion, seus also ota..
my bootloader still dara mah.. tongue.gif

Thanks for the explanation.. icon_rolleyes.gif
I'll just keep using this Global Generic lah since it has no problem with the telco etc2.. rclxms.gif

BTW, I'm turning off the Xloud on my Arc as it is too loud for me.. sweat.gif
Love the minimal-lagging and much faster phone right now..
And also the better free space on internal memory.. Huge win for me.. thumbup.gif

Okay then.. No need to upgrade.. Hehe~

BTW, Arc's video capture got autofocus whixh Im not sure other phone got it too or not..
But to me, this is why I choose Arc over SGS2 besides the design factor..
